Santa was traveling from Delhi to Ludhiana. He had reserved the upper berth, and took a long nap. Somewhere, midway in the travel (might have been Chandigarh?), he got out to get snacks and magazines. However, when Santa came back his luggage as well as the berth were missing. As usual, subdued but defiant, Santa dared to ask the guy on the upper berth where his luggage was? The guy (who else? Banta….) from the lower berth quipped, “Sardarji-e dibba Delhi jaanda-e…..tussi kithey jaandey-o?” Of course Santa was not only livid with fury, but also mixed with elation beyond imagination, he exclaimed, “Kmaaaal-e, Hindustan ne anni taraakki kar litti, upper wala dibba Ludhiyane janda-e tey nichhey wala dibba Delhi!” Hmmm!
(At Chandigarh junction Santa had inadvertently got into the train that was also stopped to replenish food supplies, but was headed to Delhi)
