Ghunghat-a social evil

Dear All

Ghunghat is still prevailing in our villages and towns. Really this is very shamfull. With this out of fine senses four are covered and controlled. we cannot see properly, we cannot hear properly, we cannot smell properly and we cannot taste properly. Our four sesory organs are controlled. One day I started walking in Ghunghat and fell down on the ground after 4-5 steps. Really it is horrible.

Sir i partially agree with u here.
Yeah that long ghoonghat is a hindrance, i agree. But Sir to show respect to your elders palla to sir par hona hi chahiye. We vaccant seat for our elders, unhe hamesha sirhane bithate hain if khat n bed. Similarly this is a way to show respect. Chahe mere in laws kahe ya na kahe, i wud always have palla if any elder Male around :)
But that long one should be BANNED :D vo illogical hai.

Kaka Ji kati theek kaho so. Par kade-2 badan dhore time na hota aankhyan ne dekhann ka, par palla te jabbe deekh jya hai :D
Aur kai bade apnna baddapan bhool jya hain te palla dekh ke mere khyal te unhe yaad bhi aa jyaga :D par jo chodega sharm usne nhi yaad divya sakte kyokar-e bi :(

Dahiya sahab,
Its not so bed as you are saying, I am of the opnion that live it to those who are performing/doing ghungat. If it is so bed then why our forfather's
started it, their is so many benifits are their first and scintific one should prevent their face from bed atmosphere like Dust, Cold waives,Sunlight etc for making them beautiful and also prevent from bed eyes(Buri Nazar).

I am agree with Sukarma Ji about the respect of elders.

I think we should start de-ghungatization in baby steps so that we don't
cause too much social turmoil.

Shayad shurooaat karan tahin bhundi-2 lugayeeyan ke ghungat mawaaf kar
diya jaaye. :cool:

hhhhhhmmmmm....on second thought perhaps we actually should do it the
other way around. :eek:

But seriously....I think those ghungats are kinda cute...especially the
ones tied around the ears...gives almost "khoonkar robber" look.
I think these Ghungats could be a pretty cool fashion statement...apart
from the more practical aspects of safety from polution/dust and so on....

Also I think the pallu...and sar par duppatta...fashion is wayyyyy tooo
cool. I think it actually adds to a woman's allure...
