Dudee kaka,
These are really good terms. I just knew abt 2 freeware and spyware [40% right :) ]and had vague idea about others.
But I found out exact meanings and here are all the 5 terms

Vapourware is software that is not yet written. It is part of modern marketing: you tell people there is a cool product that they need, and you count the number of people that calls you to get more information. If that number is high enough, you might actually go ahead and turn the Vapourware into real software .

"Abandonware" -- the term coined by others refers to "software that is five years or older and no longer supported." It can be any software made for any computer system.
It only means all support has been "abandoned" for that title.

In the United States of America, U.S. copyright law allows:
-A corporation to maintain copyright protection on an item for up to 95 years
-An individual to maintain copyright protection on an item for their entire lifetime plus 70 years

freeware n. Free software, often written by enthusiasts and distributed by users' groups, or via electronic mail, local bulletin boards, Usenet, or other electronic media. At one time, `freeware' was a trademark of Andrew Fluegelman, the author of the well-known MS-DOS comm program PC-TALK III. It wasn't enforced after his mysterious disappearance and presumed death in 1984.
shareware n. A kind of freeware (sense 1) for which the author requests some payment, usually in the accompanying documentation files or in an announcement made by the software itself. Such payment may or may not buy additional support or functionality

Spyware is Internet jargon for Advertising Supported software (Adware). It is a way for shareware authors to make money from a product, other than by selling it to the users. There are several large media companies that offer them to place banner ads in their products in exchange for a portion of the revenue from banner sales. This way, you don't have to pay for the software and the developers are still getting paid. If you find the banners annoying, there is usually an option to remove them, by paying the regular licensing fee.
Why is it called "Spyware" ?
While this may be a great concept, the downside is that the advertising companies also install additional tracking software on your system, which is continuously "calling home", using your Internet connection and reports statistical data to the "mothership". While according to the privacy policies of the companies, there will be no sensitive or identifying data collected from your system and you shall remain anonymous, it still remains the fact, that you have a "live" server sitting on your PC that is sending information about you and your surfing habits to a remote location.....
