Dear All

In the name of quality etc., the patients are being exploited in a big way while prescribing drugs to them. there exists a definite nexsus between the retailer of the propaganda companies or their medical Representative and the doctors. There are wide variations in prices of different brands of the same medicine eg.
Amlodipine (5 mg) 10 tabs of Zydus Cadilla cost Rs 15.10 whereas that of Pfizer cost Rs. 60.00) 300% more expensive)
Ciprofloxacin (500mg) 10tabs of FDC cost Rs. 36.00 whereas that of Ranbaxy cost Rs. 89.60( 150% more expensive.)
Gliclazide (80mg) 10 tabs of Jagson Pal cost Rs. 31.00 whereas that of Serdia cost Rs. 63.64(105% more expensive).
Glimepiride(1mg) 10tabs of Zydus cadilla cost Rs. 9.87 whereas that of Aventis cost Rs. 55.76( 450% more expensive)
Letrozole(2.5)mg 10 tabs of Biochem cost Rs99.00 whereas that of Navartis cost Rs. 1815.00(1730%more expensive.)
Levofloxacin(500mg) 10 tabs cost Rs. 68.25 whereas that of Aventis cost Rs. 950.00(1290 % more expensive)
Riserperidone(2mg) 10 tabs of Torrent cost Rs. 16.94 whereas that of Ethnor cost Rs. 270.00( 1500% more expensive).
The salt is the same, and dose is the same even then such a huge differance in prices? Suggestions how to get rid off this exploitation.
