Eb na aane ka koi bhi...:) !

No doubt India is shining on the economic front, but at the same time India is much behind on the social front...(several issues are there). And yes India needs a revolution...A socio-political revolution !

On the B'day of the Greatest Martyr Sardar Bhagat Singh, I pay tribute and hats off to Bhagat Singh!

And yes, Indian public is not told the actuality about this Great Martyr and it is disgusting that his kinsman are not been treated in a better way...!

He is the symbol of the heroism of the youth of India. A revolutionary He threw a bomb when the Legislature was in session to warn the British Government. He was put to death but lives in the hearts of his countrymen.

One evening a boy of three was out for a walk with his father. There was also an elderly man with the father. Chatting they walked on and went beyond the village. Green crop delighted the eyes. The elders were walking along the edge of a field. Not hearing the footsteps of the boy, the father looked back. The boy was sitting on the ground and seemed to be planting some thing. The father became curious.

"What are you doing?" said he.

"Look, father, I shall grow guns all over the field" was the innocent reply of the boy. His eyes shone with the strong faith that guns would grow in the field. Both the elders were struck with wonder at the little boy's words.

The boy was Bhagat Singh who later fought like a hero for India's freedom and sacrificed his life.

Aaj 100 saan baad bhi yeh mahanayak karodo logo ke dil me basta hai.
Es sahid ko mera sat sat parnam.

They have interospected according to their time..and acted accordingly. We must see how relevent are they in this time frame. They can be used as great reference for future lekin karna hume hi padega.

Bhagat Singh jaise logo kei jarorat har sadee ko hamesha rahegai.....
He was just not a freedom fighter but if you try to look things more closely than i see him as a man who dare to challange the existing system and took the responsibity of changing things. He did things in the best way he could think of.
Well I think its not important how he appraoched things but the bottomline is the intention with which things were done and the results....we all know.
Every century need people who can challange the existing system and lay a foundation which is more logical and based on justice for all. That century demanded people who can fight for freedom and this century need people who can sustain the meaning of freedom on a broader sense....freedom from blind faiths, freedom from illiteracy and being educated in the sense of education not merely degree holders.
Although we may not need to take extreme steps but atleast we need to take some steps in that direction as well.
I think perhaps we need not recognise them as just freedom fighters but instead we should try to understand their vision and idealogy on a broader plateform. We all need to keep in mind the dream of brighter and prosperous country.

May he be rembembered till etrnity .... may his principals and values are more higlighted and may the youth of this nation follows his " vichaardhara "

well on 28th i was fortunate to watch aTV programme on Z / ETC punjabi .. the programme in amritsar was organised to remember and celebrate shaheed bhagat singh ji's 100th birth a'ry .. it was indeed a very gud effort by punjab govt. .. first time all political party leaders were seen on single stage and that too in 100% agrement .. though very few of them sadly tried to take political mileage out there as well .. how ever the gud fact was that bhagat singh ji's family was honoured, survving freedom fighters were also honoured and were seated in front row "ATLEAST SOME RESPECT WAS SHOWN TOWARADS THEM " and most imp. two books were launched on bhagat singh ji one is the "JAIL DAIRY " of this great soul of india .. well this waswe can read more on him ...

few imp. things i learnt n that programme were - - partly thx to haryana CM Ch. Huda's speech

1. Bhagat singh ji's family was a kattar Arya Smaji (Arya samaj was and is still best practised in HARYANA and that too by JATS )

2. not only was he a martyr his entire family was into freedom movment

3. the first vidroh started against he englishmen was from Haryana - AMBALA

4. and the main movement ever sice from this regin only

5. It was ARYA SAMAJ who gave the nara of SWARAJ -- by swami dayanand saraswati ... swami ji also persuaded the rani lakshi bai for revolt ( Some other source / not hat programme )

6. Despite of the fact that he could have fought legal battle and would have survived .. he chose to be hanged just to be a role model for youths and to pass on a stong msg to both the fellow countrymen and the ruling britsh govt.

7.he revived the arya samj books of swami dayanand ji .. these books were banned by british and he got them re printed secretly in lucknow and subsequently got them distributed in arge numbers ..

i am sure that woteer little i know about shaheed is not even a tip of ice berg.. i wish i could learn more about him .. .

You have quoted my msg but your not any way related with msg. We like to have sun like Bhagat Singh but its not fully in our hands. I dont no the relavance of Gandhi or Nehru in this time but people like Bhagat Singh has relevance in every time. He was a true lover of his countery and he knows that he never used or see the freedom and then he secrificed his life. But people like Nehru and Gandhi they know verry well that will rule the countery after indepandance at any cost and they are enjoying today also.

Mr Bhagat Singh Was simply Great and their is no comparison between Nehru-Gandhi and That Great Saheed.

We get leaders what we deserve, shouting Bhagat Singh, Ghandhi or Nehru or any great one instead of doing what is in our capacity wont land anywhere.. Aur waise bhi kisi ne kaha hai ki Bhagat Singh padosi ke ghar hi accha lagta hai....
They have interospected according to their time..and acted accordingly. We must see how relevent are they in this time frame. They can be used as great reference for future lekin karna hume hi padega.

**Translator’s(Chaman Lal) note:
This letter was written by Bhagat Singh at the age of fourteen years to his younger aunt in Punjabi. Bhagat Singh had learnt Punjabi language in 1921 by his own efforts, inspired by Nankana Sahib Morcha, the volunteers of which passed through his village and Bhagat Singh used to serve food(langar) to them. He was not taught Punjabi in school, where he had good command over Urdu, which was the medium of instruction in those days

Dear Brother Jai deo,
Today again I am writing this letter to give you some trouble which I hope you will not mind. Please see if you can arrange to send one fleet foot shoe for me. I think No. 9-10 will do. Chapli is too uncomfortable. Also please try to send it on Friday or Saturday through kulbir when he will be coming for an interview. Really it is very sad that I have not so far been allowed any interview with you. Had this impasse in our trial not occurred I will have repeatedly reminded the authorities to sanction your interview. Anyhow by the time this question is settled I will again try to get the interview sanctioned. Well I hope you will send the shoe without fail and without delay. These days I have got only one book with me—a very dry one. Please see if you can send a couple of recent interesting novels. Please remember me to all friends.
Yours Sincerely

Prakash Ji!

Many thanks for putting valuable information and discussion. Sh. Bhagat Singh Ji's sacrificed himself to set an example of exterme courage and bravery for us.

I would rather say why do we want to search such a revolutionary person once again. Lets be Bhagat Singh ourselves and if one Sh. Bhagat Singh can do wonders, imagin the impact of 1 billion Bhagat Singh ji.

Humarey desh ko nahin, humein Bhagat Singh Ji bananey kiz zarurat hai! and we need to possess enough of strength to take such initiatives.

Crying over spilt milk (Humare desh ke neta) will not serve us any solutions!

I must thank you for raising your voice and enlightening Jlanders with your thread.

Keep posting such a beautinful threads!

Best Wishes!

Through the course of this year, many aspects of the life and work of Bhagat Singh have been written about. While Bhagat Singh continues to remain an icon for modern-day Indian youth, the fact that needs to be underlined is that he and his associates acquired the status of living legends even in their brief life time. This is confirmed by the fact that the British clandestinely advanced the hanging of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev fearing a public outrage. In an unprecedented manner, these legendary heroes of the Indian freedom movement were hanged until death at dusk on March 23, 1931 instead of the 24th morning. The British tried to surreptitiously dispose the bodies at Hussainwallah on the banks of the Sutlej.

In the few years of his active political life, being just over 23 years of age, when the British executed him, Bhagat Singh, along with his associates had radicalised the freedom struggle. The Delhi bomb case (“to make the deaf hear”) and the murder of British officer Saunders to avenge the death of Lala Lajpat Rai due to the severe lathicharge in the anti-Simon Commission protests brought on to the agenda of the freedom struggle, a militancy hitherto unknown.
I donot believe in rebirth. Hence we need many bhagat singh like youth to reform the society.
