Awesome!! bro!! Awesome!!

R1 is the most gorgeous & best sport bike ever to come from Japan, my fav certainly....dont know much about MTR-1600 but I've taken the feel of it ;) its monster 4 cyl 1600 cc...mindblowing, but I wud prefer Yamaha V-MAX anyday, that one is the best ... from 1985 its comin without any change....the real Retro Monster!!

I doubt they will gain a great success in Indian market...cuz most of the roads r overcrowded here, u just cant unwind the bikes cuz of rush & roadbreakers....you gotta take them for a spin on the long highways to get the Real Feel!!...I guess only serious Bike-Enthu will go for them..

Even its kinda hard to handle my RD on city roads...it needs free highway, it feels like heaven whenever I cruize it on highway at speed of 100-120, it rides so smooth, rather it Floats.... aaah! whatta wonderful feeling!! :)

Hey didnt u check out my Pics....my sweetheart Maroon RD!? ;)

I remember one saying, : 4 Wheels Drives your Body while 2 Wheels Drive ur Soul!!

Yeah! Gunny Bhai ...

U know my luv towards Bikes!! ;)

Yeah Man RD350 is a 6-speed bike, with termendous pick-up!!

RD-owners are madcaps, they can give or take life for their sweetheart!!
Read this poem written by a RD-luver!!

The Yamaha RD 350 (twin)

When I was nineteen years old,
Typically rash stupid and bold,
I went through a phase called the double 'A' -
My automotive adolescence so to say.
As a compromise between power and money,
I was given the Rajdoot Yamaha 350,
Yes, the one with the miserable fuel economy.
Though the four figure petrol bills,
Gave my father nasty chills,
The machine gave me amazing thrills.
The bike was built for mad, suicidal speed,
And that was my strongest need.
Under me, my Rajdoot Yamaha,
And the road was my virtual Suzuka.
You feel an incomparable high,
When on the road in harmony, you fly,
The bikes an extension of your body, you two are one,
You think about changing a gear and it's done.
Roaring into a corner you come,
The wind in your ears a loud hum.
Physics says you have to fall, and gravity does try,
But you make poor old Newton sigh,
He rolls over and over in his grave,
Wondering why, according to his laws you don't behave.
Your confidence soars,
Louder the bike roars,
The throttle is like a baton in your hand,
The pistons and the crank, the best orchestra in the land.
And it is Wagner’s opera to your mind,
The sound of the engine screaming toward the red line.
The adrenaline in your blood makes it boil,
But, on the next corner there's spilt diesel oil…
Then comes the fall,
With a shower of sparks, bike, you and all.
You hit the tar at a hundred and one,
Dragged along with the bike, remember you two are one,
But now it isn't so much fun.
You have burns due to friction,
And pain has reached a new dimension.
You are laid up in bed for quite a while
And now it is old Newton’s' turn to smile.

[The Yamaha RD350 was a cult bike the world over. In 1983, when Escorts introduced it in India as the RAJDOOT YAMAHA RD350, it gave the Indian youth a taste of the wild, haywire and exhilarating speed and acceleration that motorcycling is all about. Affectionately called the Rajyams (or fearfully the Yamraj), it built up a rep that no other Indian bike comes close to. Even today, almost 20 years after the last one was produced, for those who have experienced it there is no sound as sweet and exciting as that of a Rajyams screaming at 8,000 rpm.]

*PS - just check out the attached famous ad of cult RD...how it got name Giant Killer!!

Get this, I got it used for $26,000 - which is a little over 10 lakh.
It is 225 hp, 1.8 L

I believe the same used car in India would cost 3 times because there is a huge penalty in the form of taxes to the government - now you know why I hate tax theft by government.

I am relatively new to west and not really a car fan as you guys are. Still I like to drive a good car and wanted a convertible in sunny California. So I got a used souped up Mitsubishi spyder. It looks good, drives well, and makes gread sound(because of engine modification). However not so comfortable to seat the thrird person at the back. VJ was here with a friend and they would contantly fight for the front seat.

bullet -- the best an indian youth can ever get, in fact till today

Yamaha RX 100 --- now that remineds me of my school days, a black rx 100 was a piece of art to own and oly god knows how many envious friends were eying

M- 800 (5 Speed) -- something i love for power in that category, economy and zip through delhi traffic comfort, was a erfect companion for a young sales man driving trough all sorts of roads and traffic of delh's busiest lanes

would luv to own only

sandesh is it mitsibushi lancer or something? Diesel is pretty good , a bit slack but gives more power especially with 4 WD.

u have listed some gud machines here, they r my old memories

cielo - that was the best in the days it was launched. seats were so low , so much leg room for a person like me. the best looking and the longest sedan of those days. i just loved it

bullet- riding that is unbeatable. I dont like the new models though ,the english made was heavy nd loud. even the ones in 90s were alrite. I always had one till the time i was in india.

rx 100 - i learnt riding 2wheelers from that bike. great pickup ! leg room was bit of a problem for me though. i couldnt take full turn as my legs used to come in way of handle bars but was gud to ride it

drive safe brother!

yup Mitsibushi Lancer, SEDAN only and no 4 wd but turbo, my experience with this machine changed my theory about diesel, this machine surely has power, please be reminded we are talking about options available in india.

Yeah and owning them was a pleasure for me, wonderful macjhines, no doubts

Similar experience with this one too, had a terrible accdent but came out unhurt, best thing about both of these cars is that they both had power and some realy good heavy iron that didn't affect their pick up .. i like cars that are heavy and safe .. after all who dosent want to travel thinking he/she would reach safe one gud safe bet is TATA safari also ... one on my Coming soon list especially after improoved suspension and better BHP at lower RPM's, would suggest it for others also a very gud purchase and reasonablly priced as well

bullet- riding that is unbeatable. I dont like the new models though ,the english made was heavy nd loud. even the ones in 90s were alrite. I always had one till the time i was in india.

U rite dear, but till date do we have anything closer o bullet in INDIA ? and thats sad, so be content wid wot u can get now a days, still good

rx 100 - i learnt riding 2wheelers from that bike. great pickup ! leg room was bit of a problem for me though. i couldnt take full turn as my legs used to come in way of handle bars but was gud to ride it

thats was my first LOVE, and still haunts my memories, not only did this bike facilitated nice journeys with that modified silencer, it had loads to offer for driver, don't we remember the hottest of girls and coolest of yamaha's were found together :) and both were busy pleasing the roughest of MEN AROUND

still remember driving yamaha from chanakya (south delhi) to shalimar bagh (in north delhi ) in a record time of 12.5 minutes .. the silencer was so hot that the friend on the pillion seat had his shoe stuck on it due to heat

drive safe brother!

Many thx for he kindest of suggestion :p:)
