shekhar first rule is stretch before and after the exercise.drink lots of water.to heal it rt now take rest apply ice and heat.you can apply volini cream on it.people do not understand the importance of stretching thats why they get pain.shekhar once you start recovering start doing shoulder stretches before and after lifting wts

shekhar ! I dont know what exercises u do but u must be doing shoulder presses (which everyone doesusing dumbells and rods) , always do it in front.

lot of people do it at the back of their head i.e bringing the weights down behind ur head , which is an incorrect motion for your shoulders and u can easily injure it when u try to push heavy weights

with pull down exercises (for back) ,like shoulder press always do it in the front (never at the back) thats one of the exercises which give shoulder injuries.

u dont need to apply ice packs anymore (i think u mentioned u use ice packs and heat treatment). Ice pack is only for fresh injuries. Stick with heat treatment and natural movements to exercise.

Give it a good rest till it gets normal , avoid heavy weights till u heal up, do natural movements and stretches and do ur weights slow whenever u start doing them.

I have gone through it any it takes long long time to heal up and prevents u from working out on other parts as well.

So, the key is :do ur weights slow, be balanced, and avoid any movements which is not smooth.

Visit a doctor.
In future, workout with a gym instructor around.

Shekhar! I think its just a cramp/spasm. I shouldnt take longer than 2 weeks (even less) to be perfect , if u take care of it.

I know how we get greedy about working it out again before it heals up. BUT avoid it,just do natural movements.

Avoid any exercises which put pressure on ur shoulder or possibly jerk it. especially triceps like single-arm extension, kneeling cable extension , lying dumbell extension and all those sorts.

and whenever u start doing ur shoulders again do ur reps slow and take longer break between ur sets. and keep urself well hydrated.

concentrate on legs, abs, cardio or swich on to lighter weights for other exercises u do by the time ur shoulder is normal.

I had lot of injuries and i have learnt from mistakes. Avoid them because injuries can stay for months and years.

seems to be rotator cuff injury
frozen shoulder
R-Rest (till pain completely goes off)
I-Ice (withinin 24 hours only)
C-Compression (crap bandage)
E-Elevation (against gravity-may be a sling would do)

then heat therapy (Diathermy, hot packs, Ultrasonic) later followed by mild exercise (eg. shoulder wheel)when pain subsides.
...all this should do well...

happy recuperating!
