Bhai Saab,

For this we expect that the person to whom this question arises should go through archives once. And come up with some good suggestions in the similar threads those are locked by getting them out. Now you have started the debate from scratch with the very first question that has been discussed for length.

This was the decision of members itself and it was not at all imposed by admins if some thinks like that. Both the polls were showing that non-jat jokes should not be posted. When a member comes here he is willing to join to his left out pristhbhoomi. Aur usko ye apne desi-pristhbhoomi ke joke sunke aacha lagta hai. Ye santa-banta kind of jokes are present everywhere on this internet so why to dump that junk here on JL again at the cost of members time. Believe me these kind of jokes are mostly in circulation in mails and net. So better to generate some different and our kind of database for humour this was the idea behind this rule by members that time.

If you have some other valuable suggestions you are welcome but it will be better if you can get the same thread by satyeswar unlocked so that other members should also read fellow members views.

jitender bhaisaheb, i do agree to your viewpoint. just for the sake of argument, please refer to the two links in my title post. these are two jokes in different dialect/language. one was locked, i dont know wat will be the fate of other one.

my idea was to just give an example, i hav observed tht ppl still post similar jokes by adding runda or phunda... sundu or phundu. i guess the definitions need to be revised with the passage of time. do you want another lehman bros. fiasco ? for sure not... i guess.

Bhai mere paheli Tewatia Uncle ki baat ka to reply manney pachle thread mein kar diya tha.

Er jit tahi Vivek ke post ki baat hai ... initially when these discussions and poll was started you can find my post that i opposed it as there might be some good jokes in non-jat pristhbhoomi also but when members provide tarqs then i found that they are right as in that case jatland will also be a copy-paste dukan. kae balak te isse sein ek tedaken baithenge thread challan er sanjh tahi mandey rahenge .... there is no end to it and neither it has quality. So what will happen that people will start leaving humour forum ..... they will not be able to judge which type of joke it will be from the title of thread.

Instead if you people have such kind of problem with this. then it may be a good idea to have a separate section in humour section itself with title "NOn-Jat joke" and enjoy each kind of jokes there.

Er bhai jit tahi sardaran ke jattan ki baat hai .... this site depicts on its first page itself that this is for "Hindu Jats" for the time being and not for others.

Rest bhai ... you are seniors and each person have their own thoughts .... this much I have to say on this topic.

Bhai saab agar aap mere vichar janana chahte hein iss post par to mere vichar ye hein ....

It is the fault of that member who twist his joke by just putting different names. Instead if he is able to get it translated better than no issues ... but to post a non-jat joke by changing names doesnt seems nice to me.

This way we are not respecting the majority decision here on JL and thus showing our capability of revolt and not discipline.

See those poll threads for the same topic and you will find among the members who have posted in favour of only Jat jokes were seniormost too like anoop Lather ji and others.

eeb controvercy to kyanhe ki bana lyo bhai saab. It is a sole mindset of person whether to bear with the majority decision and keep harmony here or do such acts which generate negative energies and hussles.

I just wish to ask one question from members.

Some time back we have several threads regarding the efficiency of moderators and the things they should do. Anil, Samar and others have nicely put their views and some were implemented too.

Now here I wish to ask members if they have any responsibilites too being a member of this forum. Or we are just looking at the mods for theirs?

If any poll has been there and a decision was done with more than 2-3 majority like that in indian parliament. Means that decision was of a full majority govt of members.

Now what members do is delibratly they post such jokes. Then they test mods .... what did mod do? If mod wrongly locked one and not the other?

Then these members have enough matter to write thousands of lines and a lot of hatred and negative energy.

Is it really required?
If one thread is closed and the other is not? Is it a big deal? Have some margin for mods too ... they are also person like us? or if you feel you will be better then perform and be mod for some time and judge themselves?

Nice one Jitender Bhai!

1) Valid reply and 2) Getting Brahm to understand that!

Truly appreciate your very balanced views! :)

I have always been of the opinion that mods be allowed to work for something for the community / site at large rather than getting them involved in petty things!

They should ofcourse control the quality but that should not be post by post but at large for the whole site!! :)

JAT jokes are the jokes "for JATs", "about JATs", "told by JATs", "told to JATs".

Cheers
