Ram Ram to all,

Can anyone explain the eligibility for casting vote through post or any other means (say online, i think its still dream in India) when someone cant be present at polling booth on the day of election.

You can cast your vote through post. You will have to send your request to returning officer well in advance (Not sure, 2weeks). Casting of votes in an election on line is still a dream in North America. Polling starts two weeks in advance(vote in person) in US as well as Canada.
