How about NOKIA 6600 FOLD? Got good looks, long talktime, slim, easy to fit in pocket, moreover its a NOKIA. If I had to choose, I would go for a phone which has following, obvious features:
1. slim looks,
2. long battery life,
3. color screen
4. durable keypad
5. a bit stylish (not gaudy)
6. a camera 2-3.2 MP is enough.

Why don't you have a look at Nokia's E65?
I think its cheaper, probably around 14-15k has a good look, as far as I see:p, slide open, has business tools, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, Infrared etc., 2 mp camera and so on..
Nokia website can give you more details.
Another alternative can be Sony Ericson 910i. look is almost like Nokia E65 but music quality is just awesome. Do not know much about other features though.

well i was in the same shoes some time ago n the revies jus confused me even more :confused:

wel m using HTC Touch right now and its an amazing ph....hav been using it since april and till now hav not faced ne prob.....its a very smart, sleek n stylish business ph which thankfully does not hav the tendency to hang a lot......it'll cost u arnd 16k.....

n u can see nokia E 71 too....it'll cost arnd 19k n works fine as far as i know...but personally...m not a big fan of nokia....so wudnt really recommend it......

sony phones r gud but the dun hav a series busi phs tht u can chose frm...many hav been discontinued n so doesnt make sense to buy a ph which co. doesnt manufacture nemore......they r concentrating more on music phs now....

then the blackberry series is also pretty gud n i see a lot of ppl using them...but again its too costly...as the most decent ph wud cost u min 25k or so......

I have personal experience with both of the mobile handset. Both are amazing.

As per my view Nokia is worthless. This is my personal opinion. I know in india Nokia is more popular than other handset companies. But I like as per 1st choice is any phone of Sony and 2nd one is any phone of Motorolla.;)

Yes dear but its not with all the models of HTC, HTC Diamond is showing certain problems but i have never faced that but many people r facing problems life getting restarted at the time of calling. But the model HTC Touch is best till now in HTC Tested and proven.

i.e 12K-15K .. u know time helps and I reached on this conclusion .. I dont need any super duper camera in my mobile (as I want to buy H10 from Sony) .. I dont need any super duper ipod in my mobile .. as I want Sony MP3 player for music or in case apple may be considered for this purpose ...


I want fast and slick phone with latest features ...
now narrowed results consist ...


E71 .. again (to much business phone i mean QWERTY keyboard) but fast processor ... not such a good camera (3.2 px, but on papers only).. this costs almost 20K


E51 ... light, same processor as E71, cool looks and well not too much business oriented (simple keypad) cool display resolution ... and fulfills every connectivity need ;) .. ok camera .. Best feature is .. this is Fast (more than N series) and really money saver for me 11K, I will be escaped from paying any credit card bills. :p


P1i is still there in the market costs around 17K .. touch phone .. strange keypad (QWERTY) .. looks are good .. not sure about reliability of this phone infact Sony Phones' and at last my mind is getting set on saving bucks :cool:

Let me help u...U already said....u dont need or not ur priority that good MP3....or camera...in a phone....

So in ur budget...12-15k.......lots of models available....n all are more or less...SAME features....U wont find much difference...in feature...And also in price....from 100-500Rs......

So Feature wise....ALL are same...in this budget......SO THE ONLY thing u r left with is THE COMPANY.....

ANd for COMPANY.......I wud suggest only dese 3..

1) NOKIA
2) SONY
3) Motorolla....

Phone from oder new comapnies...also may be good...like HTC etc...But .They can never compete with dese..(Atleast so far,they r not)..........Also beside...they hang....HTC phones...are very slow..as well......also the camera quality is very poor....ALSO the SOUND quality...as well....individualy it may be good....But if u go for comaprison....They CAN't compete with SONY SOUND quality...........just go to d showroom....n comapre....HTC..quality....n SONY or NOKIA....quality..u will get to know.....

HTC phones are so far...light in weight...n very good look.....beside..this..all oder features...u will find in NOKIA and SONY.....I was also planning to buy HTC model.....but i took feedback...from my few frnds in office...I dint go for HTC......

But...these 3 are Leaders...in PHONES.....n they ACTUALLY are LEADERS......n each respect...see SOny makes..Digital Cameras...same technology...in phones....same for Nokia..who is leader....

As the thread is being started in the Tech Section...so it will be good if we go around some technical side of Mobile and also why and which phone one wants to buy...as it also depends on the person to person ...some just wants to Show Off (like me...within the past 3 yrs of my job i have used more than100 mobile phones..just for free :P...most of the models even i dont remember..hehehhe)

So lets come to the point....actuallly the phones are divided in to three major categories
1. Feature Phones
2. PDA phones
3. Smartphones

Feature phones can be described as the phones which are not smartphones or PDA phones...cant be described as simple as that...features which has a limit at some point...
PDA phones...which provides touch interface(screen)..with windows like environment...and cutomizedd keyboard(QWERTY)...and basic Call handling, messaging(Email) and Browsing functionality....some organization and tools stuff..
Now the Smartphones(as Smart as me ;)...butt mere se thoda kum..hahhaa)...those are the actual phones with high data rates(eg. HSDPA, HSUPA (i m going more technical here..oops sorry))...some PDA features...like touch screen, customized windows like environment...
Sony XPERIA is a smartphone

As we cannot compare these three above mentioned phone categories as they all are having there own prons and cons....so better we first decide in wich category we are going to fall..and then decide which phone in that particular categiry i can go for....
otherwise its a very hard decision to buy a phone or any other electronic product... as in the Electronics market...u cant wait for a particular product to come....as always there will be a advance version ahead...so go and get ur phone..otherwise u will be just waiting forever :)..hehhe

M using N95 8gb since 4 months and its just superb...I think its the best among all Nokia phones( assuming u dont require a bussiness phone).It incorporates almost all the features of N96.
I dont agree that the phone is sluggish.I hv filled 6GB out of the available 8GB and still it works fine.So if u r looking to buy a perfect smart phone i would advice u 2 go 4 N95 8GB.

Bhai ... upper dekh dikhne main trendy or smart bhi chahiye tha .. Nokia 2100 , 1100 mai mail check ker lega ke u know WLAN and GPRS and MAPS and all .. Fast means fast even with 2GB memory !!!

I reviewed New iPhone, the Google phone and my existing Nokia E71....
my concern was fast processor, long battery life, internet usage in my phone(with 3G net), GPS and user friendly.....
New iPhones has bugs
Google phone is too bulky and is too complicated with lott of apps....
and both of the above phones come with heavy monthly plans.....so I am happy paying what I pay with my existing plan and unlimited incoming and outgoing :)

:rockWell depends on ur budeget and features taht u need ,but the best at the moment in the market is in th UK is N96 that got all features like GPS and many more. cost is around £450 pounds if u need pl let me know
I have got one extra.

I dont have the clue for Indian market at the moment.

welcome to the 21 century Sejwal ji...technology is changing....aajkal aap girlfriend ko bhi replace karr sakte hain cell sei.... bas ek kaam ke liye cellphone use nahi karr sakte....baaki to kaam saare ho jatte hain :p

phone sholud have minimal problems ( I know every mobile has few problems of its own .. sluggishness, tend to hang, slow etc....)

Sunita g i got the 5800 and its good speed, display, sound all is good.
Still exploring as its been just 1 day will tell you more in 2-3 days but on first look its a good device :)
And about price i got that in 19250 + 300(Screen guard) total 19500.
