These freebees are wrong and waste of resources.
How people can support these kind of acts and still call progessive govt?
It has been accepted by people that all govts do the same either it is INDL or Congress.
Any Congressee here who can support this and enlighten us about this development going on ?

Barodap (Sonepat), December 28
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today announced that the state government would pay yearly compensation of Rs 10,000 per acre to all gram panchayats whose land was being acquired by the government for giving 100 square yard plots free of cost to people of weaker sections of society under the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojna.

Hooda announced this at a public rally that was organised in this constituency, which is considered to be the stronghold of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) since long. It was for the first time after this constituency was de-reserved that Hooda held a public meeting here. The rally also coincided with the 123rd foundation day of the Indian National Congress (INC).

Addressing a gathering, the Chief Minister also announced to allocate special development grants for all villages in Barodap Block. He said every panchayat of large and small villages in the block would be given grants of Rs 50 lakh and Rs 25 lakh, respectively, to give a fillip to development activities in these villages that had remained neglected during the rule of other governments in the state.

Reiterating his commitment to commission at least one power-generating unit every year, the CM said the government was working to ensure that 20 to 22 hours of power supply was made available daily across the state within the next two years.

He said the 600 MW unit of Yamunanager thermal plant had already been commissioned and the 1,200 MW Khedar unit and 1,500 MW unit of Jharli would be commissioned by 2009 and 2010, respectively.

Hooda said the foundation stone of 1,320 MW Jhajjar power plant would be laid on January 10. He said with the commissioning of these units, the power blues of the state would be put to an end once and for all.

Highlighting various welfare and development schemes launched by the state government during his tenure, the CM said while formulating these schemes, the policy makers had made sure that every section of society, including farmers, women, school children, weaker sections, shopkeepers, was benefited.

He said the government was now giving priority to generate more employment for the state youth particularly in the industrial sector.

HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana said the alliance between the INLD and the BJP was not a “gathbandhan” but a “Lathbandhan” that aimed at looting the state with their lies. He said the recent incident of the brutal murder of an engineer in Uttar Pradesh had exposed the style of functioning of the BSP government.

He said the people should not get carried away with the false promises made by opposition parties. MP Deepender Singh Hooda said the alliance between the INLD and the BJP had been formed not to serve the people but to meet the vested interests of some politicians.

Working president of the HPCC Kuldeep Sharma, chief parliamentary secretary Ramesh Kaushik, parliamentary secretary Anil Thakkat, MLAs Jitender Malik, Jagbir Singh Malik, Bachhan Singh Arya, Sher Singh and Sukhbir Singh Farmana, vice-chairperson of the Haryana Women Commission Chander Prabha, AICC member Sumitra Chauhana and several other congress leaders addressed the rally.

Earlier, the CM laid the foundation stone of a 33 Kv power substation at Sikanderpur Majra and announced development grant of Rs 25 lakh each for Sikanderpur Majra and Bali Brahmanan villages.

The CM also inaugurated a newly constructed ITI at Butana village. He laid the foundation stone of a 50-bedded hospital in Gohana, which he said would be upgraded to a 100-bedded hospital.

Ranbir bhai ... this is politics and any act that is taken by any of the govt under its influence is rarely right. And so is this.

This year few months back I also pointed out the yojna of many crores in which Computers will be distributed to students of SC/ST (might be BC) ... Gurgaon Dronacharya college mein tha ye distribution ... I never find any utility of that ... those will be used for wrong use like movies and all .. er aadhey to bech khavenge ...... only a few out of them will use it for their JIVIKA .... instead this policy could have been modified to provide them JIVIKA ....

Its a pitty that who ever will do such things will be benefitted of them so they are doing.

I support this govt on n-number of steps ... but will rate these kind of steps to be inspired of politics and as you have mentioned will be done by other parties too.

There is nothing wrong in it because panchayat looses income from the land which is being given to economic weaker section of the society. It is a good step and in right direction to generate funds for development of villages.

Jitu Bhai,
Kya example diya hai apne . And there would be so many cases of wasting resouces by Govt. Politicians to theek hai but now people like us have accepted this as normal. Otherwise think if this money can be used by some charitable organizations.
Govt ek haath se paissa leti hai aur dusre hath se waste karti hai .
