religious intolerance nd fanaticism !... धार्मिक उन्माद !!!
where are we going ?
who is propagating this intolerance nd fanaticism?
what’s the common man stand ?
are hindu’s being sidelined in its own country?
… nd what are the possible solutions?
our independence came in 1947 on the gospel of hate tht swept the two new nations. overnight families tht had lived as friendly neighbors for decades in british india became mindless enemies in hindu india nd muslim pakistan… tht’s how it started, but the war nd the hatred tht was planted about 60+ years ago still grows nd India is still a divided nation. religious freedom in India offers a stinging image of a country suffering from communal divisions nd mob-inspired religious persecution, more often then not from politically motivated sickness nd thru well planned conspiracy of vested foreign interests.
starting from the partition of India, sikh riots of ‘84, burning alive of graham staines in ‘99, gujarat riots of ‘02, recent christian attacks in orissa, women assault in mangalore… the religious intolerance is growing day by day. organized groups claiming roots in religious ideologies have unleashed all pervasive fear of mob violence in many parts of the country.
it’s a timely reminder tht despite all the talk of a global India, religious tension may be as pervasive as ever, especially when political parties are vying for political power nd propagating this communal hatred on one pretext or other. this extraordinary preoccupation with tolerance encourages political leaders to peddle self-deception and self-delusion as realistic… not to talk of media, who’s only objective is to earn more TRP. the islamite media, leftist intellectuals nd alienated academicians seek refuge in pseudo secularism nd irrational tolerance nd use institutionalized tolerance as a recipe for moral uncertainty, forgetting our cultural past nd the deeds of enough good people, who stitched the whole 500 princely states into one india. they substitute meaningless, abstract, harmful ideas like tolerance, minority rights, world vision, etc for democracy nd justice to the extant tht the ethos nd values tht connect people together are now undergoing a grotesque distortion. in the process, the tolerant peace loving people ultimately lose their purpose, focus and unity.
civilized people are tolerant nd tht has been the benchmark of hindu ideology, throughout the ages. but tolerance as a virtue is not a priority for muslims or for any other community for tht matter. we shud not tolerate what is intolerable nd what is evil, but should dedicate ourselves to the values of liberty nd justice. peace, prosperity, justice nd civilization itself, can be achieved only by the refusal to tolerate evil. one shud tolerate different religious beliefs, but if such religious beliefs encourage smashing skyscrapers, killing innocent people, nd forcefully convert poor people, we shud not tolerate such dangerous belief system. pakistan is closing down madrasas but in India, they are not only encouraged but are also funded by our govt, to the extent of even according them the CBSE status… ridiculous!
to ensure our future, we shud realize the perils of tolerance. in the name of tolerance, we shud not allow Jihadi terrorists, communist fascists nd muslim fundamentalists to impose their intolerant ideology on our throat. it’s time to start rethinking things from the ground up nd it’s time to realize the limits of tolerance nd move away from moral paralysis. we must cultivate the spirit of tolerance in our hearts, but we shud not allow the policy of toleration to be exploited nd abused by fanatical sectarian groups which are in fact, subversive political movements in jihadi or ecclesiastical disguise.
thought: sikhs, (minority) despite of their highly condemned massacre in 1984 are still doing fine in indian mainstream. why is the problem ALWAYS with muslims nd now with christians?
shall appreciate the views of fellow members, with an aim to reach a common consensus, if at all we can !… wud also appreciate members to put forth their rational views nd not to drag the issue into an intra-party mudslinging.
