It shows the globe with the size of the countries directly proportional to the parameter under consideration:

Thanks for sharing the information. At first glance it looked like a propaganda of BJP (saffron color) against congress.. :) Nevertheless, these are facts. It is very important to acknowledge the shortcomings and then only we can fix them.

I came across a documentary named "Home". I regard it as one of the best documentaries I have seen, with mesmerizing photography and startling facts. I would urge jatlanders to take out the time to see this. It is easily available on many sites on net. Here is the best link to see it....

It also highlights the risk that India is likely to face in coming decades. Though it is not mentioned in this one but apart from fresh water shortage, extinction of Ganges is imminent in 10-20 years time. It is one of the Top 10 endangered rivers of the world.

Ganga is really polluted especially around Varanasi... fecal matter, dangerous industrial refuse, dead bodies. I don't know how a group of people can be so filthy ... its unimaginable. Ganga is also the water supply for the surrounding population ... there is no way one can sanitize that water.
