Utterly frustrated at rampant interference in selection matters of various Delhi cricket teams, India's only triple centurion Virender Sehwag on Sunday revealed that he wants to leave Delhi and play for Haryana in domestic tournaments from the 2009-10 season

"I am trying to leave Delhi and play for Haryana. I spoke to the Delhi District and Cricket Association (DDCA) president, Mr. Arun Jaitley, today (Sunday) and he has asked me to discuss the issue with him and then take a decision. If I am not satisfied with the outcome of our meeting, I will surely leave Delhi," Says Sehwag.

Now Gautam Gambhir has come out in full support of Virender Sehwag and said he might also leave Delhi Ranji team.

It is a few days old now, but was never mentioned on JL. Sehwag shook the Delhi cricket establishment with his revolt against the unfair selection process at junior/Ranji level in Delhi. Jaitley has now assured that Sehwag's suggestions would be implemented. Let's hope that there is some action behind the words. If there is a real change on the ground, most of the credit would go to Sehwag. I just loved it how he single-handedly took on the system, and that too when he was on a somewhat weak ground because of the controversy over his shoulder injury. This is what being a Jat should mean- to stand for what is right. The best part was that he didn't only show attitude, but also application, by getting support of other senior Delhi players and getting Pataudi (who is known to be neutral in cricket politics) to accompany him for the meeting with Jaitley.
