hhow does it help to know ip adress.

sites just grab client address (remote address) (in different programming languages you get it from different parameters, HTTP server info / server info for an example most often it's named REMOTE_ADDR)

(but I guess since it's not a legal issue no proxy provider 'll act upon our request of providing information and often it depends on country rules / policies)

sure, if somebody does any criminal activity - proxy providers are liable to provide information about guilty. (again as per country rules / policies - depends)

Rocky.. JL must be capturing MAC Address & IP address.. Its a combination of both that we may be using here to catch miscreants..
There are lots of things that can be used to identify the machine..like serial No. of each component (Almost 10 components of any comp has unique serial numbers)
So, don't waste your time to play around with IP Address. Technology is way ahead of our gimmicks.

ek be apne JL ke mods ne ya baat kahi thi kise ki fake id proove karen tai ke uski purani id ka er nayi id ka address same hai:p so was just kiddin;)

baki itna gyan to mane bhi ho rhya se ke sirf ek akele IP adress change kare te ya lakoye te kuch na ho sakta.. aur bhtere raach se IP te nyare jinte wo pakda ja sake se :tamatar

chal koi baat na bhai ..... detail me na jau ib ... yea I know there 're lots of way to crack / grab one's details ... and on the other side ... there 're lots of way to hide your details (even ur mac address ;) ) ...

and I wonder without having a connection to remote machine (thru any means)
(when you're practically setting on virtually machine) how come you'll grab anything ...
