[edit (http://www.jatland.com/w/index.php?title=Rajiv_Dixit&action=edit&section=1)] Life

Dixit was born on 30 November 1967 in Naah village, Atrauli (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Atrauli) tehsil of Aligarh (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Aligarh) district, Uttar Pradesh (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Uttar_Pradesh) . Under the tutelage of his father RadheShyam Dixit, he was educated till the 12th grade in the village schooling system in Firozabad (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Firozabad) district. In 1994, he moved to Allahabad (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Allahabad) (Prayaag) for higher studies. He pursued his M.Tech degree in Satellite Telecommunications from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Indian_Institute_of_Technology_Kanpur) and pursued his doctorate in telecommunications in France. Subsequently, he worked at CSIR (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Council_of_Scientific_and_Industrial_Research) as a scientist (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Scientist). But his passion for his motherland made him give up a paid-position for the sake of Indian culture (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Indian_culture) and Swadeshi (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Swadeshi) movement, serving the cause of "Rashtra Dharma". His audio cassettes on Indian Nationalism and greatness of India's past did well in 1999. He had been recording them over months traveling across India spreading his message of great optimism about India and its enormous contributions to the human civilization. He was a Brahmachari (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Brahmacharya) and never married. He was influenced by the ideologies of Indian revolutionaries like Chandrashekhar Azad (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Chandrashekhar_Azad), Bhagat Singh (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Bhagat_Singh) and Udham Singh (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Udham_Singh). Later in life, he began to appreciate the early works of Mahatma Gandhi (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Mahatma_Gandhi). His life was dedicated to not just ideas with high ideals, but also causes like stopping alcohol and "gutka (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Gutka)" production, cow-butchering and social injustices. On the 9th of January 2009, he became one of the founders of "Bharat Swabhiman (http://www.jatland.com/w/index.php?title=Bharat_Swabhiman&action=edit&redlink=1)" movement. He died on 30 November 2010, while in Bhilai (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Bhilai) in Chattisgarh (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Chattisgarh). The circumstances around his death are uncertain and the cause of his death is unknown. In his memory, the constructed Bharat Swabhiman building in Haridwar (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Haridwar) has been named "Rajiv Bhawan". He refused to take any modern medicine on his death bed, insisting instead on Ayurvedic medicine.
[edit (http://www.jatland.com/w/index.php?title=Rajiv_Dixit&action=edit&section=2)] Work

Dixit suggested that the Indian supreme court should declare money held by Indians in Swiss banks as national property so that foreign banks would have to legally hand over this money to India.[5] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-4)
[edit (http://www.jatland.com/w/index.php?title=Rajiv_Dixit&action=edit&section=3)] Initiated and supported movements

Dixit supported the movement of opening a chain of Swadeshi (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Swadeshi) General Stores, where only Indian-made goods are sold.
He believed in swadeshi. He initiated movements like the Swadeshi (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Swadeshi) Movement and Azadi Bachao Andolan and became their spokeperson.[6] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-5) He addressed a rally of over 50,000 people under the leadership of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Swadeshi_Jagaran_Manch) in New Delhi (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/New_Delhi).[7] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-org-6) He also took leadership of the programme held at Calcutta (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Calcutta) which was supported and promoted by various organizations and prominent personalities and was celebrated all over India on the eve of the 150th Anniversary of the 1857 war of Indian Independence.[7] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-org-6)

He demanded decentralization of taxation system, saying that the current system is the core reason for the corruption in bureaucracy. He said that 80% of taxes is being used to pay the politicians and bureaucrats and just 20% for development purposes for the people. He compared the current budget system of the Indian government to the earlier British budget system in India, presenting statistics to show that they are the same. Recently he was working with Swami Ramdev (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Swami_Ramdev) in Bharat Swabhiman Trust (http://www.jatland.com/w/index.php?title=Bharat_Swabhiman_Trust&action=edit&redlink=1) as national secretary.[8] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-tim-7)

He also doubted the terrorist attack on the United States (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/United_States) Twin Towers (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/World_Trade_Center), claiming that it was stage managed by U.S. Government itself, and supported the claims of the Lone Lantern Society of the U.S.[9] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-8)

He also said that "liberalization (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Liberalization), privatization (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Privatization) and globalization (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/Globalization), the three evil faces staring at us today, have pushed us towards a suicidal state."[1] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-ast-0)

He argued that modern thinkers have neglected agricultural sectors and farmers have been left to feed themselves and commit suicide.[1] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-ast-0) Expressing his views on the Indian judiciary and legal system, he said that India is still following the laws and acts enacted during the British era (http://www.jatland.com/wiki/British_Raj) and had not taken the burden of changing them as per the requirement of Indian people.[2] (http://www.jatland.com/forums/#cite_note-nav-1)
[edit (http://www.jatland.com/w/index.php?title=Rajiv_Dixit&action=edit&section=4)] Sudden death

Dixit was in Bhilai to deliver lecture as a part of his Bharat Swabhiman Yatra, where he died on 30th November 2010. His death was unexpected. The cause of death is still unknown, though it was initially believed that he died of a cardiac arrest.

Dear Friend,

With due respect to the protagonist of your post, kindly enlighten us about the basis of your categorization of 'true Indian' and other....category of Indians.
You would appreciate that we have no dearth of the people from the Jat community who have equally or to say more than equally sterling roles to their credit and who could be the fittest topics to be discussed by the JatLanders as role models, like Raja Mahender Pratap, Shahid-i-Azam Bhagat Singh, Chaudhary Seth Chhaju Ram and so on so forth.

In the meanwhile, I respect your right of freedom to expression. Please keep it up as you like, please.

..if we will start discussing about the persons from other community than jatland will loose its purpose, charm nd interest..
...jatland is for jat community not for other community ppl otherwise it will become an all communty land...
..as rajpal sir said there are rolemodels in jat community also..we can discuss about them..
.. it really looked odd to me when i read "dixit".....
..i think we should understand the purpose of spending our time on JL...

There have been many threads on non-jat personalities from past as well as present, like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Anna, Sonia Gandhi, many other non-jat leaders, sportsmen etc.......but those guys were either controversial or very famous, so people enjoyed talking in favor of them or against them....however now when you posted about somebody who is not very controversial, less famous (even though doing good for country), people do not have much to express here and hence they are telling "अक्क इस की भी के बात करै है ....कीसे और की कर "

इन् सबको यहाँ या तो मसाला चाहिए या फिर कुछ भावुक करने वाला या फिर गुस्सा दिलाने वाला या फिर हंसाने वाला या फिर किसी की कुत्ती करने वाला !!!!

Friend,

You are welcome to ignore all the topics enlisted by you as somewhat 'slang' and come up with the topic of your choice and discuss threadbare what you want to share with the Jatlanders.

Dear Malik Sahib,

You may be right in your judgement on the quality of the threads posted on the Jatland but it would be very nice of you if you start a new thread on those neglected social workers about whom you consider :"who cares for true social workers of India..."
