Fellow JLanders,

Most of the haryanvi movies made these days are nothing but mockery of our culture. It is an alarming situation, high time to react to put some ban or censor on such stuff. Please share your views, how you rate all this.

Also, what best can be done so as to save our image. People make a wrong perception after seeing these movies.

You are very right Prikshit. A sensible Haryanvi cannot afford to watch & bear these movies.
Some steps are definitely needed to curb this distortion of Haryanvi culture.

With Best Regards,

Prikshit, can you please name a few which are trying to put Haryanvi Culture down? Heard about "Khap" but couldn't watch it, are there some more?
Not sure, why people are so jealous of Jat Sanskriti. But somewhere in their hearts they know that we are the martial race and can not be let down by these ridiculous efforts.
"Jat balwan, jai bhagwan" still rocks.....

Hi Deependra,

There are many,I am talking about local movies being made these days. Few days back I was travelling in a charted bus to my office, a movie was played, it was full of ridicule. Complete absurdity I must say. In the name of humour they are mocking our culture. Those who have seen, must be knowing the reality.

Dear Brothers!

I am sorry if I am wrong but these are only my personal views and I am not trying to hurt anyone.

Both the Audios and Videos've been coming in front of us in the poorest form since the long time. The Misery with us - So far as my knowledge is concerned, Jats' image is badly and mostly affected by this industry. In the production, direction and acting field, we don't have the percentage of participation more than 0.01%. According to the common sense of the peoples of rest of India, Haryanavi means Jats. Unfortunately I've nothing except vulgarity except one or two incidents.
Thanx.

Pradeep,
You are absolutely right in saying all this, day by day this industry is growing and ruining our image. We should take this seriously and make necessary steps to prevent this.

Bisky nailed it down perfectly. When you say Haryanwi, it means Jats for people outside Haryana. So directly or indirectly, it damages Jat's reputation.

Pradeep bhai aap ne bilkul sahi baat kahi hai or mere vichar se iss mai bura mannan
ki koyee bhi vajah mujhe nazar nahin aati. Ab parshan ye uthata hai ki iss ko rokka kaise
ja sakta hai.

Burai par achhai ki jeet tabhi ho sakti hai jab achhai ki raushni burai ke andhakar ko bhaga sake, lekin yahan to achhai hi lupt ho chuki hai aur iss ke jimmedaar ham purani peedhi wale hain jinhone iss dharohar ko aage nahin badhaya. Hamme sharm aati thi ya iise itna mahatav nahin diya ye soch ke ki bacche aapne aap sekh jayenge. Ab ek vacuum paida ho chuka hai jise bharna ek kathin samasya ban chuki hai.

Dhanyawad sahit.

We all are proud, there is no doubt about it. You might not be aware, what damage it is doing to us. I tell you one incidence, it was when placements were going on in my college, 119 students cleared written out of which 116 were selected. You know what three of them were carrying the same mentality, out of three 2 were jats and 1 a local pandit. I am not asking anyone to pretend what one actually is, but a sensible thing would be to keep our image intact. Measures should to taken to overcome this stereotype notions being shown through these mediums.

Not only in Haryanvi movies, but in Haryanvi songs too the image of Haryanvi culture is being tarnished. Suppose the song is 'parda na uthao, parde mein rahne do'...some Haryanvi artists will convert it in Haryanvi...I ask if there is already some melodius and popular song in Hindi, then what the hell need of converting that into Haryanvi? Enjoy that original one or compose any ragini if one wants to sing something in Haryanvi.
Actually, mostly Haryanvi Jats are serious, cordial and cultured too, but the real damage is being done by the non-Jat Haryanvis on mostly occasions. The Bairagi, Mali, Dalit and other lower castes' people have been doing such foolish things for a long time. Whenever any of such people does some bad thing, then people say look he is Haryanvi...a Jat.
We must clear it to the others that all Haryanvis are not Jats. Though on many occasions I also noticed that people know that wrong doer is non-Jat, still they call him Jat. Due to it whole Jat community is suffering.
Another insulting thing I noticed...a duo of half-aged women is on hunt many times. These women pick some gentle looking person and start telling lies i.e. their pocket has been picked and now they are empty of money, so give them some money so that they can go to their home. This tradition is also harming the image of the Jats as people say such women Jatnis, while they are not, I think.

Begging in disguise by the duo of some 50+ Haryanvi women. Commonly seen in suburban Delhi...

Upender, I understand your sentiment behind above bold lines but I think it is impractical approach. Individuals cannot donate money for this cause. I think it is an employment issue. The state government should look after this and should create enough employment opportunities. Unfortunately its not happening.

Sir ji it depends on individual how he reacts on such situation...i am sure there would be many jaats certainly in selected 116 students...we cant say anything on the rejection of those two Jaats....

It doesnt mean that they can not get placed anywhere...they made a mistake and i am sure they would have realised it.....

Having attitude is a good thing but we should know how to carry it...

Aur rahi bat haryanvi gaano ki aur cheap small movies ki...to inpe to thodi lagaam lagani chahiye.....itna poor nahin hai yaar hmara culture as they show in their presentation....

Baaki apni apni soch hai...

Sir ji, do you really think that State Gov should look after such kind of ppl......yaar in todays world it is not difficult to earn meal for two times...specially for haryanvi people because mostly of them are strong enough to make a living.

State Gov kis kis ko naukri degi....aur jisme self respect nahin hai even after getting a job kahin na kahin wo jarur aiseembarrassing kaam krenge...

That is the point I made why not be wary of it all the time, learning from mistakes is one good thing, but most of the times opportunities do not come again and again.

What you wrote in bold is true, measures has to be taken to curb this.

Even on social networking sites such clips and videos are shared which says "Haryanvi jats at its best". Sheer mockery
