जाट कौम का राजनीतिक भविष्य
(ब्राह्मणवाद एक विचारधारा है, एक मानसिकता है, एक जाट भी ब्राह्मणवादी हो सकता है और एक ब्राह्मण भी गैर ब्राह्मणवादी हो सकता है। इस लेख में दिए गए तथ्यों के प्रमाण मेरे पास सुरक्षित हैं और कोई विवाद होने पर इसका न्यायक्षेत्र भिवानी होगा। )
ग्यासुद्दीन गाजी ने 1857 के पहले स्वतंंत्रता संग्राम से पहले ही अपनी जाति और धर्म बदली करके अपना नाम गंगाधर रखकर पुलिस में भर्ती होकर 1857 के संग्राम के समय क्रांतिकारियों की मुखबरी करते हुए और अग्रेजों की पूर्णतया वफादारी करते हुए दिल्ली का कोतवाल बन गया और अंग्रेजों के हाथों क्रांतिकारियों को गिरफ्तार करवाने में उन्होंने अहम् भूमिका निभाई। यही कोतवाल महाशय महान क्रांतिकारी राजा नाहर सिंह, सेनापति गुलाबसिंह सैनी, खुशहाल सिंह और भूरासिंह को चांदनी चौक में फांसी देने के लिए सजाकर लाए थे। अपने जीवन के अंतिम पड़ाव में अंग्रेजों की वफादारी के परिणामस्वरूप कमाई धनराशि के बल पर इलाहाबाद में बसकर आनंद भवन बना और अपने आप को कौल ब्राह्मण प्रचारित कर दिया। इन्हीं के पुत्र मोतीलाल नेहरू वकालत करके वकील बने और एक नहर के पास बसने के कारण अपने आप को नेहरू कहलाने लगे और कश्मीरी ब्राह्मण हो गए। अपने वकालत के साथ-साथ राजनीति भी करने लगे। इसी बीच एक अंग्रेज ए.ओ.ह्यूम ने सन 1885 में कांग्रेस की स्थापना की, जिसका उद्देश्य भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञों का अंग्रेजी सरकार से तालमेल स्थापित करना था। मोतीलाल के पुत्र पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू हुए, जिन्होंने अपनी वकालत की शिक्षा इंग्लैंड से ली और वे एक आधुनिक संस्कृति के अग्रदूत रहते हुए भारत में आकर राजनीति करने लगे और उन्होंने कांग्रेस में अपना एक अहम् स्थान बना लिया। यह अह्म स्थान गांधी के साथ उसके पिता के संबंधों के कारण और भी सुगम हो गया था।
देश की आजादी की लड़ाई कई मोर्चों पर लड़ी जा रही थी, जिसमें उग्र स्वभाव वाले करतार सिंह सराबा, भगत सिंह, बंता सिंह, व बाबा बैसाखा सिंह आदि थे। कांग्रेस में भी दो प्रकार के व्यक्ति थे, जिसमें एक गर्म दल तथा दूसरा नर्म दल था। गर्म दल की अगुवाई सुभाषचंद्र बोस कर रहे थे, जिन्होंने सन् 1936 में महात्मा गांधी के विरोध में कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष पद का चुनाव लड़ा, जबकि महात्मा गांधी सीतारमैया की वकालत कर रहे थे, लेकिन इसके बावजूद भी सुभाषचंद्र बोस विजयी घोषित हुए, लेकिन नेहरू-गांधी की मंडली ने उन्हें इतना परेशान किया कि उन्हें एक वर्ष के भीतर ही अपना त्यागपत्र देना पड़ा(पुस्तक - महानायक)। जब दूसरे विश्वयुद्ध के दौरान अंग्रेजों ने ये भरोसा दिलाया कि वे युद्ध के जीतने के बाद भारत वर्ष को आजाद कर देंगे। इस पर भारत वर्ष का भावी प्रधानमंत्री बनाने पर चर्चा होने लगी। तत्कालीन भारत के 15 राज्यों के कांग्रेस अध्यक्षोंं से भावी प्रधानमंंत्री बनाने की सलाह ली गई तो 12 प्रदेशों के अध्यक्षों ने सरदार पटेल का इस पद के लिए समर्थन किया। इस पर पंडित नेहरू के कान खड़े हो गए और उन्होंने बड़ी ही चालाकी से कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष का पद अब्दुल कलाम से हथिया लिया तथा भारत के सभी 14 राज्यों के कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ब्राह्मण जाति से मनोनीत कर दिए गए, लेकिन भारत का 15 वां राज्य बाम्बे का अध्यक्ष नरीमन जो पारसी था और एक बहुत बड़ा विद्वान भी था, ने अपने अध्यक्ष पद से त्यागपत्र देने से मना कर दिया तो उस व्यक्ति को इतना परेशान किया गया कि उसे आत्महत्या करनी पड़ी और इस आत्महत्या को आम मौत में तब्दील करवा दिया गया। 15 अगस्त, 1947 को जब देश आजाद हुआ तो महात्मा गांधी ने पंडित नेहरू के नाम का देश के प्रधानमंत्री के तौर पर अनुमोदन किया और इस प्रकार सशक्त दावेदार सरदार पटेल को एक किनारे कर दिया गया। इससे पहले जब मुस्लिम लीग के नेता लाला मोहम्मद अली जिन्नाह को यह आभास हो गया कि भारत वर्ष में उसे प्रधानमंत्री का पद मिलने वाला नहीं है तो उसने सन् 1944 से ही अलग पाकिस्तान की मांग कर डाली थी, लेकिन उनकी सबसे बड़ी अड़चन यह थी कि जहां पश्चिमी पंजाब में पश्चिमी पाकिस्तान बनना था, वहां जमींदारा पार्टी का राज था, जहां चौ. छोटूराम की तूती बोल रही थी और इसी वर्ष चौ. छोटूराम ने जिन्हा को पंजाब से यह चेतावनी देते हुए खदेड़ दिया था कि वे यदि यहां आकर दोबारा पाकिस्तान की मांग करेंगे तो उनको सलाखों के अंदर कर दिया जाएगा। लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से 9 जनवरी, 1945 को चौ. छोटूराम का आकस्मिक निधन हो गया और उनकी पार्टी छिन्न-भिन्न हो गई। परिणाम स्वरूप उन्हीं की पार्टी के विधायक बाद में मोहम्मद अली जिन्हा की पार्टी मुस्लिम लीग में शामिल हो गए और पाकिस्तान का निर्माण हो गया।
15 अगस्त, 1947 को देश आजाद होते ही पंडित नेहरू देश के प्रधानमंत्री बने और सभी प्रदेशों के ब्राह्मण अध्यक्षों को प्रदेशों का मुख्यमंत्री बनाया गया। देश की सत्ता ब्राह्मण, कायस्थ और बनियों के हाथ में आ गई। जब भारतवर्ष से मुसलमान पाकिस्तान गए, तो मुस्लिम अधिकारियों की जगह ब्राह्मणों को अधिकारी बनाए जाने के लिए पंडित नेहरू ने अपने सभी ब्राह्मण मुख्यमंत्रियों को गुप्त पत्र लिखकर उनके स्थान भरवा दिए गए और भारतवर्ष में अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से ब्राह्मणवाद को स्थापित कर दिया गया(पुस्तक - मुसलमानों की सियासत)। यही पंडित नेहरू, जिन्होंने सन् 1946 में कहा था : दिल्ली और इसके आसपास जाट एक ऐसी ताकतवर कौम रहती है, वह जब चाहे, दिल्ली पर कब्जा कर सकती है। कब्जे की बात तो छोड़ें, दिल्ली की केंद्र सरकार में जाटों को कोई भी तवज्जो नहीं दी गई। केंद्र के मंत्रीमंडल में रक्षा मंत्री के बतौर बलदेव सिंह को अवश्य लिया गया, लेकिन ये प्रतिनिधित्व सिख के नाम पर था, न कि जाट के नाम पर।
इससे पहले सन् 1925 में नागपुर में एक बहुत बड़ी गैर ब्राह्मण सभा का आयोजन किया गया, जिस पर ब्राह्मणवाद के कान खड़े हो गए। इस सभा की प्रतिक्रिया में इसी वर्ष चार ब्राह्मणों डॉ. हैडगेवार, बी.एस. मुंजे, बहाराव सावरकर(वीर सावरकर का भाई) और बी.बी.थालकर ने राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ(आरएसएस)की स्थापना की, जिसमें कॉलेज में पढऩे वाले ब्राह्मणों के लडक़ों को ही इसमें भर्ती किया गया, जिनकी आरंभ में कुल 91 संख्या थी, जिनको गुप्त तौर पर एक शपथ दिलाई गई थी, लेकिन इन ब्राह्मणों का उस समय मूल उद्देश्य पेशवा ब्राह्मणों के गौरव का प्रचार करना था, जो कभी उन्होंने शिवाजी भौंसले की मृत्यु के पश्चात बड़े षडयंत्रों के तहत प्राप्त किया था, लेकिन 1761 में पानीपत की लड़ाई में अहमद शाह अब्दाली के हाथ इनकी शर्मनाक हार हुई। इसी आरएसएस ने समय आने पर बड़ी चालाकी से अपना हिंदुत्व का एजेंडा तैयार किया क्योंकि वे जानते थे कि आने वाले समय में प्रजातंत्र में अकेले ब्राह्मण न तो सत्ता पर काबिज हो पाएंगे और न ही सत्ता संभाल पाएंगे क्योंकि उनकी पूरे भारतवर्ष में मात्र तीन प्रतिशत जनसंख्या थी और आज भी है। इसीलिए सभी हिंदुओं को हिंदू धर्म के नाम पर बरगलाना बहुत आवश्यक था और इन्होने धीरे-धीरे इस संगठन को पश्चिमी और मध्यप्रदेश के अतिरिक्त उत्तर भारत में भी फैलाना शुरू कर दिया और जगह-जगह इसकी शाखाएं खुलने लगीं। लेकिन ये संगठन सन् 1947 तक अपने पैर नहीं फैला पाया था और इसका प्रचार सीमित था, लेकिन इससे पहले ही पंजाब में एक महान पुरूष चौ. छोटूराम जन्म ले चुका था, जिन्होंने कांग्रेस और आरएसएस के षड्यंत्रों को समझते हुए हिंदू, सिख, इसाई और मुस्लिम किसानों की पार्टी बनाई और धर्म के नाम से इनको शोषण से बचाया। इस पार्टी में मुस्लिम किसानों का विशेष योगदान था। ये पार्टी कांग्रेस और आरएसएस की कुटिल चालों की एक बहुत बड़ी काट थी। इसी पार्टी ने संयुक्त पंजाब में अपनी धाक जमाई और सत्ता पर पूर्णतया कब्जा कर लिया, जिस पर संयुक्त पंजाब में कांग्रेस और आरएसएस की पूर्णतया बोलती बंद हो गई और इस पार्टी ने छोटूराम के आकस्मिक निधन तक एकछत्र राज्य किया, लेकिन ये किसानों, मजदूरों और भारत वर्ष का दुर्भाग्य था कि इनका आकस्मिक निधन हो गया और देश का बंटवारा करके पाकिस्तान बनाया गया। 15 अगस्त, 1947 से लेकर पंडित नेहरू की मृत्यु 27 मई, 1964 तक भारतवर्ष पर पंडित नेहरू बनाम कांग्रेस का एकछत्र राज्य रहा और इस अवधि में भारतवर्ष के लोगों की मानसिकता ब्राह्मणवादी मीडिया की बदौलत यहां तक बदल दी गई कि लोग कहने लगे : यदि नेहरू नहीं होगा तो इस देश का क्या होगा? वही पंडित जी, जो जाटों को एक बहादुर जाति बतला रहे थे, को दिल्ली में अल्पसंख्यक बनाने के लिए सन् 1947 में जहां दिल्ली से एक लाख मुसलमान पाकिस्तान गए, उनकी जगह चार लाख चालीस हजार पाकिस्तान से आने वाले शरणार्थियों को जान-बूझकर दिल्ली में बसाया गया क्योंकि ये लोग पहले संयुक्त पंजाब में कांग्रेस समर्थक थे। उसके बाद हजारों तिब्तियन को भी सन् 1959 में दिल्ली में बसाया गया। इसलिए नेहरू ने एक तीर से दो शिकार करने की चाल चली। लेकिन 1962 में चीन ने भारत पर आक्रमण किया और भारतवर्ष की एक शर्मनाक पराजय हुई, जिससे नेहरूवाद की धज्जियां उड़ गईं क्योंकि यही पंडित नेहरू थे, जिन्होंने पंचशील की स्थापना करके हिंदी-चीनी-भाई-भाई का नारा दिया था और यही पराजय शायद पंडित नेहरू की मौत का कारण बनी(पुस्तक - सफरन फासिज्म तथा अनटोल्ड स्टोरी ऑफ 1962)। हालांकि उनकी मौत का कारण लोगों ने कुछ और भी बतलाया है। 27 मई, 1964 को नेहरू की मृत्यु होने पर 9 जून, 1964 तक गुलजारी लाल नंदा को कार्यवाहक प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया। उसके बाद 11 जनवरी, 1966 तक ताशकंद में आकस्मित मृत्यु होने तक लाल बहादुर शास्त्री देश के प्रधानमंत्री रहे। इसके बाद फिर से गुलजारी लाल नंदा को कार्यवाहक अध्यक्ष बनाया गया। लेकिन 24 जनवरी, 1966 से श्रीमति इंदिरा गांधी को प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया, जो 24 मार्च, 1977 तक इस पद पर रहीं। इस अवधि में केवल एक बार सन् 1975 में चौ. बंसीलाल को रक्षा मंत्री बनाया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त जाटों का केंद्र में प्रतिनिधित्व लगभग शून्य रहा, जबकि जाटों ने 1971 की लड़ाई में बहुत बड़ी शहादत दी थी। कांग्रेस के राज में एक-आध बार कुछ अन्य जाट भी मंत्री बनते रहे, जैसे कि रामनिवास मिर्धा और प्रोफेसर शेरसिंह आदि।

आरएसएस से प्रेरित लोगों ने सन 1951 में जनसंघ पार्टी का गठन किया, जिसके अध्यक्ष श्यामाप्रसाद मुखर्जी बने। पाकिस्तान से आने वाले शरणार्थी अपने आप को जब भारतवर्ष में अलग-थलग महसूस करने लगे तो वे लोग भी इसमें शामिल हो गए। सन् 1967 के बाद कांग्रेस का एकछत्र वर्चस्व समाप्त हो रहा था और जगह-जगह क्षेत्रीय राजनीतिक पार्टियां जन्म ले रही थीं। जनसंघ में धीरे-धीरे दूसरे ब्राह्मण तथा उच्च जाति के लोग भी सम्मिलित होने लगे, जिसमें लालकृष्ण आडवानी जो पहले से ही शरणार्थी थे, लेकिन श्यामाप्रसाद मुखर्जी व अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी के अतिरिक्त अनेकों ब्राह्मण व अन्य उच्च जातियों के लोग धीरे-धीरे इसमें सम्मिलित होते जा रहे थे और यह एक शहरी पार्टी का रूप ले चुकी थी।
जब सन् 1975 में इंदिरा गांधी के चुनाव को गैर कानूनी घोषित किया गया, तो श्रीमति गांधी ने देश पर आपातकालीन की घोषणा कर दी और देश को एक अधिनायकवाद की स्थिति में धकेल दिया और प्रजातंत्र की आवाज को लगाम लगा दी गई लेकिन ज्यों ही आपातकाल हटाया गया तो सन् 1977 में पूरे देश की क्षेत्रीय पार्टियां एक होकर जनता पार्टी का गठन हुआ, जिसने इसी वर्ष चुनाव में कांग्रेस का सफाया करके भारत की सत्ता पर काबिज हुई, लेकिन केंद्र सरकार बनने के समय वही सन् 1947 की कहानी दोहराई गई, जब गांधी ने देश के प्रधानमंत्री पद के लिए सरदार पटेल के नाम का समर्थन न करके नेहरू का समर्थन किया था। इस बार जयप्रकाश नारायण ने चौ. चरण सिंह का समर्थन न करके मोरारजी देसाई का समर्थन किया। जनता पार्टी बेमेल लोगों की पार्टी थी, जिनकी विचारधारा आपस में कहीं भी मेल नहीं खाती थी। वास्तव में जनता पार्टी का जन्म आपातकाल की घर्षण से हुआ था। मोरारजी देसाई की विचारधारा पूर्णतया पूंजीवादी, वहीं दूसरी ओर चौ. चरणसिंह की विचारधारा पूर्णतया किसानवादी और ग्रामीणवादी थी। चौ. चरणसिंह एक विद्वान थे, लेकिन मोरारजी देसाई केवल एक राजनीतिज्ञ थे। चौ. चरण सिंह को गृहमंत्री बनाया गया, लेकिन वही हुआ जो हमेशा विचारधाराओं के टकराव से होता आया है और जनता पार्टी एक दिन टूट गई और चुनावों तक के लिए चौ. चरण सिंह को कामचलाऊ सरकार का प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया। वही जनसंघ, जो जनता पार्टी में सम्मिलत हुई, अभी इससे बाहर होकर भारतीय जनता पार्टी हो गई और सन् 1980 के चुनाव में फिर से कांग्रेस सत्ता में आई, लेकिन भारतीय जनता पार्टी के केवल दो ही सांसद जीत पाए और वो बाद में 1991 के चुनाव में दो से दो सौ कैसे हो गए, इसका उल्लेख इसी लेख में आगे किया गया है।
जनता पार्टी के राज में चौ. चरण सिंह के प्रधानमंत्री बनने पर जाटों को यह बात अच्छी तरह समझ में आ गई कि जाट प्रधानमंंत्री भी बन सकता है। जाटों में एक क्रांतिकारी राजनीतिक जागरूकता आई, वर्ना इससे पहले जाट संसदीय चुनावों में कोई विशेष दिलचस्पी नहीं लेते थे। जनता पार्टी के समय जाटों का केंद्र में संतोषजनक प्रतिनिधित्व रहा, लेकिन बाद में 1980 के चुनाव में फिर से कांंग्रेस पार्टी आ गई और इंदिरा गांधी प्रधानमंत्री बन गई। सन् 1980 में चौ. बलराम जाखड़ संसद के अध्यक्ष बने और इस पद पर लगातार दो बार बने रहे। इसके बाद एक बार कंद्रीय मंत्रीमंंडल में कृषि मंत्री भी बने, लेकिन फिर भी इंदिरा गांधी के राज्य में जाटों का केंद्र में प्रतिनिधित्व कभी भी संतोषजनक नहीं रहा। जून, 1984 में भारत में बहुत बड़ी दुर्घटना हुई, जिसे ब्लू स्टार के नाम से जाना जाता है और इसी के फलस्वरूप 31 अक्टूबर, 1984 को इंदिरा गांधी की हत्या कर दी गई और राजीव गांधी देश के प्रधानमंत्री बने। इनके मंत्रीमंडल में कुछ समय बाद चौ. बंसीलाल को रेल मंत्री बनाया गया, लेकिन केंद्र में जाटों का कोई विशेष प्रतिनिधित्व नहीं था। सन 1989 के चुनाव में बोफोर्स कांड के कारण कांग्रेस चुनाव हार गई और फिर से जनता पार्टी का राज आया, जिसमें चौ. देवीलाल ने प्रधानमंत्री का ताज वीपी सिंह के सिर पर रख दिया, लेकिन फिर भी इस सरकार में जाटों का केंद्र में प्रतिनिधित्व संतोषजनक था। वीपी सिंह के साथ चौ. देवीलाल की पटरी नहीं बैठ पाई और भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने समर्थन वापिस लेने पर वीपी सिंह की सरकार गिर गई तथा चंद्रशेखर को प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया। चौ.देवीलाल उपप्रधानमंत्री रहे। लेकिन यह सरकार भी गिर गई तथा दोबारा से चुनाव हुए, जिसमें कांग्रेस फिर से सत्ता में आ गई और 21 जून, 1991 से पी.वी.नरहिसम्हा राव देश के प्रधानमंत्री बने और वे इस पद पर 16 मई, 1996 तक रहे, लेकिन इस अवधि में भी जाटों का केंद्र में प्रतिनिधित्व न के बराबर था। हालांकि चौ. शीशराम ओला को मंत्रीमंडल में लिया गया। जैसे कि मैंने ऊपर लिखा है, आरएसएस प्रेरित भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने केंद्र में अपनी सीटें दो से दौ सौ करने का एकमात्र कारण रथयात्रा थी, जो लाल कृष्ण आडवानी ने सोमनाथ मंदिर से अयोध्या तक निकाली और धर्म के नाम पर भारतवर्ष के हिंदुओं को पूरी तरह से भडक़ाया गया और इसी का दुखद नतीजा अयोध्या में बावरी मस्जिद गिराए जाने पर पूर्ण हुआ(इसका पूरा विवरण मैंने अपनी पुस्तक अयोध्या में अयोद्धा में दिया है)। परिणामस्वरूप 16 मई, 1996 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी सत्ता में आई और अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी भारत के प्रधानमंत्री बने। इनके प्रधानमंत्री बनने पर कट्टर जनसंघी बलराज मधोक ने बयान दिया कि अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी की केवल एक योग्यता है कि वे ब्राह्मण हैं। लेकिन बहुमत न होने के कारण 13 दिन के बाद उनकी सरकार गिर गई और एक जून, 1996 को एच.डी. देवेगौड़ा को देश का प्रधानमंत्री चुना गया, जो 21 अप्रैल, 1997 तक इस पद पर रह पाए। देवगौड़ा भी एक किसान के पुत्र थे और वे चौ. चरण सिंह की तरह ही किसान नेता उभरकर आए थे। लेकिन उनके साथ वही हुआ, जो चौ. चरण सिंह के साथ हुआ था। इसके बाद फिर 21 अप्रैल, 1997 से 19 मार्च, 1998 तक इंद्र कुमार गुजराल भारत के प्रधानमंत्री रहे, लेकिन केंद्र में जाटों का प्रतिनिधित्व बिल्कुल ही संतोषजनक नहीं था। इसके बाद 19 मार्च, 1998 से 22 मई, 2004 तक अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी प्रधानमंत्री रहे, जिनके समय में कारगिल युद्ध की दुर्घटना हुई। इसे दुर्घटना इसलिए कहा जा रहा है कि ये सरकार की लापरवाही का कारण था, जिसमें जाटों को एक बहुत बड़ी कीमत चुकानी पड़ी थी। बाजपेयी के राज में सोमपाल शास्त्री को कृषि राज्य मंत्री अवश्य बनाया गया, लेकिन फिर भी जाटों का प्रतिनिधित्व न के बराबर था। चौ. साहब सिंह को कई प्रकार से परेशान करने के बाद केंद्र में श्रम मंत्री बनाया गया था। इससे पहले उन्हें सन् 1998 में दिल्ली का मुख्यमंत्री बनाया गया। लेकिन मई 2004 के चुनाव में भारतीय जनता पार्टी की हार हुई और उसके बाद कांग्रेस सत्ता में आई तो डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह को प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया, जो आज तक इस पद पर चले आ रहे हैं। इस पूरी अवधि में केंद्र में जाटों का प्रतिनिधित्व नाममात्र रहा है अर्थात जाट अपनी पहचान बनाने में केंद्र में असफल रहे, जिसके कारण नीचे दिए जाएंगे, लेकिन जाटों को ये समझना होगा कि हमारा लक्ष्य केंद्र की सत्ता होना चाहिए, जिसके लिए जाट अधिकारी हैं, लेकिन हम जाटों ने अभी तक अपना लक्ष्य पूरे इरादे के साथ तय नहीं किया है, इसीलिए हम पिछड़ते रहे हैं।

इतिहास गवाह है कि इस देश का मुख्य मीडिया आरएसएस प्रेरित रहा है क्योंकि मीडिया में अधिकतर उच्च जातियों के लोग ही रहे हैं, जिसमें ब्राह्मणवाद का विशेष योगदान रहा है। इसीलिए जब भी कोई ब्राह्मण प्रधानमंत्री बना तो उसने अपना पांच साल का कार्यकाल पूरा किया। इसीलिए जब चौ. चरण सिंह प्रधानमंत्री थे, तो मीडिया की अनावश्यक आलोचना से तंग आकर उन्होंने कहा था काश, मैं ब्राह्मण होता। इसके अतिरिक्त डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह को छोडक़र किसी गैर ब्राह्मण ने अपना प्रधानमंत्री का कार्यकाल पूरा नहीं किया। क्या यह एक इत्तिफाक है कि मनमोहन सिंह(कोहली) अमृतसर से 20 किलोमीटर पाकिस्तान के एक गांव गोह से शरणार्थी बनकर भारत आए और देश के दूसरी बार प्रधानमंत्री बने? वहीं दूसरी ओर नवाज शरीफ(सहगल) अमृतसर से 20 किलोमीटर तरणतारण के जट्टीउमरा गांव से शरणार्थी बनकर पाकिस्तान गए और वहां के तीसरी बार प्रधानमंत्री बन गए। ये दोनों ही पंजाबी खत्री जाति से संबंध रखते हैं और दोनों के पिता व्यापारी थे। हालांकि दोनों का धर्म अलग है। इसलिए हम कह सकते हैं कि भारतवर्ष और पाकिस्तान में दोनों ही जगह पंजाबी खत्री शरणार्थियों का राज है। जबकि इनकी जनसंख्या दोनों देशों में दो प्रतिशत से भी कम है, लेकिन जाट पांच प्रतिशत से भी अधिक हैं। दिल्ली में सन् 1967 से पाकिस्तान से आने वाले शरणार्थियों ने जनसंघ को अपनाया और दिल्ली में अपनी सत्ता कायम कर ली, तो इस बात को चौ. साहिब सिंह वर्मा अच्छी तरह समझ गए थे कि उन्हें यहां आरएसएस के रास्ते से होकर राजनीति में घुसपैठ करनी पड़ेगी और उन्होंने एक दिन आरएसएस का निक्कर पहन लिया और जब दिल्ली में बाद में उसी जनसंघ का बीजेपी के रूप में सत्ता आई तो इत्तिफाक से चौ. साहिब सिंह वर्मा दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री बने, लेकिन उनको इतना परेशान कर दिया गया कि उन्हें त्यागपत्र देने के समय मीडिया के सामने फूट-फूटकर रोना पड़ा। चौ. किशन सिंह सांगवान कभी देवीलाल के हरियाणा मंत्रीमंडल में शिक्षा मंत्री थे। लेकिन उसके बाद उनकी चौ. ओमप्रकाश चौटाला के साथ पटरी नहीं बैठ पाई और कांग्रेस से भी उनको टिकट मिलने का कोई मौका नहीं था तो उन्होंने मजबूरन भारतीय जनता पार्टी का दामन थामना पड़ा और तीन बार सांसद रहते हुए भारतीय जनता पार्टी के उपाध्यक्ष भी रहे। इसके अतिरिक्त उनकी पारीवारिक विचारधारा कभी भी हिंदुत्व अर्थात आरएसएस की नहीं थी। इस बात का प्रमाण उनके पिता सूरजमल सांगवान द्वारा लिखी गई पुस्तक किसान विद्रोह और संघर्ष के द्वारा स्पष्ट हो जाती है। इसी प्रकार अभिमन्यु भारतीय जनता पार्टी में फंसे हुए हैं। अभी उनका भारतीय जनता पार्टी का हरियाणा के अध्यक्ष बनने का पूरा अधिकार था, लेकिन रामबिलास शर्मा, जोकि जाति से ब्राह्मण हैं, इसी कारण उनको अध्यक्ष बना दिया गया, जबकि हरियाणा में उनकी विश्वसनीयता पहले से ही समाप्त हो चुकी थी। इन सभी बातों पर हम गहराई से विचार करते हैं, तो लगता है कि जाट कौम का भारतीय जनता पार्टी में भविष्य उज्ज्वल नहीं है। हालांकि वर्तमान में आरएसएस के निक्करधारी नरेंद्र मोदी, जो पिछड़ी जाति से संबंध रखते हैं, को आज भारत का प्रधानमंत्री बनाने के लिए पेश किया जा रहा है, लेकिन यह कितनी आश्चर्यजनक बात है कि सन् 1984 के सिख दंगों में कलंकित सज्जन कुमार को फांसी देने की मांग की जा रही है, तो वहीं दूसरी ओर नरेंद्र मोदी को, जिनके राज में हजारों मुस्लिमों का संहार हुआ, जिसके लिए वे कलंकित हैं, को प्रधानमंत्री का उम्मीदवार घोषित किया जा रहा है। ये कैसा प्रजातंत्र है? इससे भी बढक़र उन्हीं के नेता तत्कालीन प्रधानमत्री अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी ने उन्हें पद से हटाने की सिफारिश की थी और यही लाल कृष्ण आडवानी ने इन्हें बचाया था, जो आज इनका विरोध कर रहे हैं। ये प्रजातंत्र में किस प्रकार का न्याय है तथा कौनसी राजनीति है? इससे जाट समाज को अच्छी तरह तह में जाकर समझना होगा। इन हालातों से स्पष्ट है कि कोई भी जाट भारतीय जनता पार्टी में रहकर न तो ऊंचाई को छू सकता है और न ही जाट कौम केंद्र की सत्ता पर अधिकार कर सकती है।
सातवें दशक में चौ. चरण सिंह उत्तरप्रदेश में एक बहुत ही ताकतवर नेता थे और वे एक बार उत्तरप्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री रहे, लेकिन उत्तरप्रदेश में ब्राह्मणवादी लॉबी बहुत ही मजबूत रही है, इसलिए उनको सात-आठ महीने के बाद यह पद छोडऩा पड़ा। उत्तरप्रदेश की जनसंख्या पाकिस्तान से भी ज्यादा है, जहां पर जाटों की जनसंख्या मात्र चार प्रतिशत भी नहीं है। हालांकि पश्चिमी उत्तरप्रदेश में जाट बहुतायत में हैं। सुश्री मायावती और मुलायम सिंह दोनों ने ही उत्तरप्रदेश में अपना प्रभुत्व स्थापित कर लिया है। हालांकि इनकी आपसी लड़ाई ने दलित और पिछड़ों की एकता को बहुत बड़ी चोट पहुंचाई है और याद होगा कि वे मुख्यमंत्री पद के लिए आपसी दुश्मनी कर बैठे थे, जबकि दलित और पिछड़ों ने संपूर्ण आजादी के लिए दूसरी आजादी की लड़ाई लडऩी होगी। लेकिन जो भी हो, वहां के हालातों के मद्देनजर उस राज्य में जाटों की सत्ता स्थापित होने के कोई आसार नहीं, जब तक हरित प्रदेश नहीं बन जाता। हालांकि पश्चिमी उत्तरप्रदेश में चौ. अजीत सिंह की पार्टी का अपना एक अस्तित्व जरूर है। लेकिन उसे अपनी पार्टी से चार या पांच सांसद तथा दस से बारह विधायक जितवाने भी भारी पड़ रहे हैं। हालांकि चौ. अजीत सिंह किसी भी केंद्रीय सरकार में अपना एक मंत्री पद अवश्य हथिया लेते हैं, लेकिन इससे जाट समाज का कोई भला होने वाला नहीं है, क्योंकि इस प्रकार से हम केंद्र में सत्ता नहीं हथिया सकते।

हरियाणा में जाटों की बहुतायत है और इसी दम पर चौ. ओमप्रकाश चौटाला की अपनी पार्टी कायम है। उनकी अपनी एक क्षेत्रीय पार्टी है, लेकिन वे किसी भी हालत में अपने दम पर पांच सांसद से अधिक नहीं जितवा पाएंगे और न ही किसी दूसरी पार्टी के गठबंधन के बगैर हरियाणा में अपनी सत्ता कायम कर पाएंगे क्योंकि हरियाणा का राजनीतिक इतिहास बताता है कि जब भी देवीलाल और ओमप्रकाश चौटाला ने सरकार बनाई तो वह भारतीय जनता पार्टी के साथ मिलकर बनाई। यही हालात पंजाब के हैं। वहां जितनी भी बार प्रकाश सिंह बादल मुख्यमंत्री बने, उनके साथ भारतीय जनता पार्टी रही है। इस प्रकार हम देखते हैं कि उत्तरप्रदेश, हरियाणा और पंजाब में जाट प्रेरित अपनी क्षेत्रीय पार्टियां हैं, जिनका आपस में भी कोई तालमेल नहीं है। हालांकि हरियाणा में पिछली बार अकाली दल के साथ चौटाला जी का समझौता था, लेकिन फिर भी वे सरकार बनाने में असफल रहे। इस प्रकार हम देखते हैं कि ये क्षेत्रीय पार्टियां किसी भी सूरत में जाटों का केंद्र में सत्ता का उद्देश्य पूर्ण नहीं कर सकती हैं। जब चौ. चरण सिंह प्रधानमंत्री बने और बाद में चौ. देवीलाल उप प्रधानमंत्री बने तो वे दोनों ही जनता पार्टी के माध्यम से ही केंद्रीय सत्ता में आए। क्षेत्रीय पार्टियों के गठबंधन के बल पर जाट केवल केंद्र में कोई मंत्री का पद पा सकते हैं, लेकिन सत्ता नहीं। सबसे अधिक जाट राजस्थान में हैं, लेकिन वे आज तक राजस्थान में जाट मुख्यमंत्री बनाने में पूर्णतया असफल रहे हैं क्योंकि उनमें अभी तक इच्छाशक्ति की कमी है, चाहे लोग इसे फूट का कारण बताएं। इसके अतिरिक्त जम्मू एंड काश्मीर में हर बार एक या दो विधायक जाट अवश्य बनाते हैं और कभी कभी जाट मंत्री भी बन जाता है। यहां जाटों की जनसंख्या छह से सात लाख तक है। हिमाचल प्रदेश में जाट एक बार पहले मंजीत डोगरा विधायक अवश्य बने और वर्तमान में पवन काजल विधायक हैं। मध्यप्रदेश में जाटों की संख्या संतोषजनक है, लेकिन वे पूरे मध्यप्रदेश में बिखरे हुए हैं और वहां कोई जटलैंड नहीं है। वहां भी चार या पांच विधायक और कभी कभी एक आध सांसद भी बन जाता है और कभी-कभी राज्य में मंत्री तथा केंद्र में भी मंत्री बना है। गुजरात में जाटों को पटेल भी कहा जाता है और वहां भी छह-सात लाख जाट हैं और एक-आध बार मंत्री भी बन जाते हैं। महाराष्ट्र, बिहार और आंध्रा में भी जाट हैं और उनकी सभाएं हैं, लेकिन कम होने के कारण उनका कोई राजनीतिक वजूद नहीं है।
इसमें कोई दो राय नहीं कि अभी कई वर्षों से केंद्र में क्षेत्रीय पार्टियों के सहयोग से ही केंद्र में सरकारें बनती रही हैं, लेकिन इस प्रकार से जाट कौम केंद्र की सत्ता नहीं हथिया सकती है। भारत वर्ष में आठ-नौ करोड़ जाट हैं और पैंसठ संसदीय क्षेत्रों में निर्णायक स्थिति में हैं और हर बार चौबीस से सत्ताइस-अ_ाइस तक जाट सांसद केंद्र में पहुंचते हैं, लेकिन वे आधा दर्जन से भी अधिक पार्टियों से संबंध रखते हैं, इसलिए वे केंद्र में किसी प्रकार का दबाव बनाने में असफल रहते हैं। हालांकि जाटों का प्रत्येक पार्टी में रहना भी जरूरी लगता है, लेकिन इस प्रकार से हम अपने उद्देश्य को पूरा नहीं कर पाएंगे।
जैसे कि मैंने पहले ही कहा कि कांग्रेस में ब्राह्मणवाद का वर्चस्व रहा, लेकिन भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सरकार केंद्र में आने के बाद ब्राह्मणवादी विचारधारा के लोग भारतीय जनता पार्टी में इक_े होते चले गए और कांग्रेस में वर्तमान में ऐसी विचारधारा के लोग बहुत कम रह गए हैं। इसलिए वहां एक रिक्त स्थान जैसा बन गया है। ब्राह्मणवादी विचारधारा वाले लोग आरएसएस के जरिये भारतीय जनता पार्टी में प्रवेश करते जा रहे हैं। मैंने पहले भी ब्राह्मणवादी मीडिया का जिक्र किया, इस बारे में मैं ये कहना चाहूंगा कि ये मीडिया सदियों से ये काम कर रहा है। इसी कारण इन्होंने मनमर्जी के इतिहास लिखे और किसी एक जाति को क्षत्रीय बनाया गया, जबकि उस जाति ने मुगलों के विरूद्ध कभी कोई लड़ाई नहीं जीती और अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ कभी कोई लड़ाई नहीं लड़ी। सच्चाई तो ये है कि इन्होंने मुगलों की हमेशा दरबारी की और अपनी बेटियों के डोले मुगलों को दिए। पाकिस्तान के महान विद्वान अली हसन चौहान अपनी पुस्तक गुजरों का संक्षिप्त इतिहास में लिखते हैं कि ये पूरा इतिहास जर, जोरू और जमीन के लिए संघर्ष का इतिहास रहा है और लोग इनके महलों और किलों को देखकर व्यर्थ ही आश्चर्यचकित होते हैं, जबकि ये सभी अपनी बेटियों के डोले मुगलों को देकर बनवाए थे। पंजाब केसरी ने अपने संपादकीय में दिनांक 25 सितंबर, 2002 को इसे झूठे लोगों का झूठा इतिहास करार दिया है। इसी मीडिया का कमाल देखिए कि मंगल पांडे और झांसी की रानी लक्ष्मीबाई को देश की आजादी के लिए महान क्रांतिकारी घोषित कर दिया और मंगल पांडे का चित्र भारत की संसद के अंदर भी टांग दिया गया। मैं दावे से कह रहा हूं कि इन दोनों का देश की आजादी से कोई भी लेना-देना नहीं था। मंगल पांडे ने अंग्रेजों द्वारा कारतूसों में गाय की चर्बी इस्तेमाल किए जाने के प्रचार के कारण हिंदू धर्म के नाम पर एक अंग्रेज अधिकारी को अवश्य मारा और इसी कारण उसको फांसी दी गई। झांसी की रानी का स्वार्थ केवल अपनी रियासत बचाने और दत्तक पुत्र को अंग्रेजों से मान्यता दिलाने तक सीमित था। रानी पुस्तक की लेखिका श्रीमति जयश्री मिश्रा जी ने तो यहां तक लिखा है कि लक्ष्मी बाई झांसी रियासत के अंग्रेज रेजीडेंट कैप्टन गॉर्डन की प्रेमिका थी। याद रहे, इसाई धर्म यूरोप में पहुंचने से पहले केरला के किनारे पहुंच गया था और यही ब्राह्मणवाद जो हमेशा संस्कृत और स्वदेशी संस्कृति का प्रचार करता रहा है, सन् 1892 और 1904 के दौरान अंग्रेजों द्वारा अधिकृत आईसीएस में 16 सफल उम्मीदवारों में से 15 ब्राह्मण थे। सन् 1913 में 128 स्थायी मुंसिफ में से 93 ब्राह्मण थे। 1914 में मद्रास विश्वविद्यालय में 650 पंजीकृत स्नातकों में से 452 ब्राह्मण थे, जो सारे अंग्रेजी भाषा द्वारा शिक्षित थे। इसी कारण सन् 1919 में अंग्रेज सरकार ने मद्रास राज्य में गैर ब्राह्मणों के लिए आरक्षण लागू करना पड़ा। इसी प्रकार मुगलों के समय भी सबसे पहले परसियन भाषा सीखने वाला यही ब्राह्मणवाद था और इसे सीखकर भारतवर्ष की जमीन का हिसाब-किताब रखने वाले यही थे। ये ब्राह्मणवाद मुगलों का वफादार बना रहा। इसी कारण औरंगजेब को छोडक़र किसी भी मुगल बादशाह ने ब्राह्मणवादियों पर जजिया कर नहीं लगाया। बाकी हिंदू पिसते रहे और ब्राह्मणवाद मजे करता रहा। अकबर का वित्तमंत्री टोडरमल भी एक ब्राह्मणवादी था। कहने का अर्थ है, जहां भी फायदा नजर आया, उसी के हो लिए। यहां न कोई धर्म की बात थी और न ही सिद्धांत की। ये भी याद रखने की बात है कि आरएसएस के एक संस्थापक और अध्यक्ष डॉ. हैडगेवार ने सन् 1942 में अंग्रेजो भारत छोड़ो के आंदोलन में अंग्रेजों का साथ दिया था। यह थी आरएसएस की राष्ट्रीयता और देशभक्ति। इसकी पूरी जानकारी के लिए सफरन फासिज्म पुस्तक, जो हरियाणा के पूर्व मंत्री श्यामचंद ने लिखी है, को पढऩा चाहिए। बड़े आश्चर्य की बात है कि बाबा रामदेव आर्यसमाजी होकर भी आरएसएस बनाम भाजपा की वकालत करते हैं। असल में ये व्यापारी बाबा हैं। इस विषय में और अधिक जानकारी के लिए मेरी पुस्तक असली लुटेरे कौन? पढऩी चाहिए। आज आजादी के 65 वर्ष बाद भी इसी मीडिया का देश में बहुत बड़ा वर्चस्व है, जिसको समझ पाना आम आदमी के वश से बाहर है क्योंकि देखा गया है कि आम आदमी इस मीडिया के प्रचार से सम्मोहित होकर भावनाओं में बह जाता है और हकीकत को जानने का कोई प्रयास नहीं करता। वैसे भी मैंने अपने अनुभव में यह पाया है कि जाट समाज को बहकने का सबसे ज्यादा स्वभाव है क्योंकि ये समाज हमेशा दूसरों पर ज्यादा विश्वास करता रहा है। इसी बारे में मैं नीचे कुछ ऐतिहासिक उदाहरण दूंगा, जिससे बहुत कुछ सीखा जा सकता है।

सातवीं सदी में सिंध की एक बड़ी आलौर रियासत पर सियासीराय मोर गौत्र के जाट का राज था। एक दिन चच नाम का एक बहुत ही सुंदर, शिक्षित और सजीला ब्राह्मण का लडक़ा राजा के मंत्री के संतरी से मिला। संतरी ने मंतरी से सिफारिश करके उसको मंत्री के कार्यालय में एक क्लर्क के तौर पर रख लिया। समय आने पर इस लडक़े ने मंत्री का पूरा विश्वास जीत लिया और इसे कभी-कभी कार्यालय की डाक देकर राजा को दिखाने के लिए महल में भेजने लगा। इस लडक़े ने अपनी कार्यशैली से धीरे-धीरे राजा का विश्वास भी जीत लिया। कुछ दिन बाद राजा बीमार रहने लगा। इसी बीच लडक़े ने अपनी पहुंच जनानखाने तक बना ली और रानी सुनिंदा का भी चहेता बन गया और राजा की बीमारी का फायदा उठाते हुए रानी से प्यार कर बैठा और एक दिन राजा को जहर दिलाकर मरवा दिया और रानी के बलबूते पर वहां की रियासत का शासक बन बैठा और ज्यों ही राज पर अधिकार किया, तो समय आने पर जाटों के विरूद्ध ऐसे कानून बनवाए कि जाटों की रूह कांप गई। जाटों को आदेश था कि वे राजा की रसोई के लिए लकड़ी नंगे पैर लाएंगे। सिर पर कोई जाट छतरी नहीं लगाएगा। कोई जाट घोड़े पर सवार नहीं होगा। जाटनियां अपने घाघरों में नाड़ा नहीं डालेंगी, रस्सी से बांधकर रखेंगी आदि-आदि। इन्हीं कानूनों को उसके पोते दाहिर ने भी जारी रखा, जब तक लड़ाई में बिन कासिम के हाथ सन् 712 में उसका कत्ल नहीं किया गया। इसी ब्राह्मणवाद के कारण बाद में वहां के जाट मुस्लिम धर्मी हो गए थे।
इसी कहानी को आठवीं सदी में भी दोहराया गया तथा राजस्थान के माऊंट आबू पर्वत पर वृहद् यज्ञ रचाकर जाटों में फूट डाली और राजपूत जाति का उदय हुआ। जो कर्म ब्राह्मण राजा ने जाटों के साथ सिंध में किए थे, उन्हीं कर्मों को राजपूतों के हाथ जाटों के विरूद्ध राजस्थान में दोहराया गया और राजस्थान के जाटों को चोहरी गुलामी सदियों तक झेलनी पड़ी, वर्ना वहां पूरे राजस्थान पर पहले जाटों के राज्य थे। यहां मेरे कहने का अर्थ है कि राजस्थान में जाटों के हाथ जाटों की दुर्गति इसी ब्राह्मणवाद ने की। इतिहास गवाह है कि जाट और राजपूतों के पूर्वज एक थे।
हरियाणा के जाटों को याद होगा कि जब भजनलाल, जो मांझू गौत्र के बिश्रोई जाट थे, लेकिन जाटों ने उनको अपना नेता नहीं माना और वे केवल देवीलाल और बंसीलाल को ही अपना नेता मानते रहे। इसी हालात का फायदा उठाते हुए भजनलाल को जाटों के विरूद्ध तैयार किया गया और उन्होंने धीरे-धीरे गैर जाट राजनीति शुरू की, लेकिन उन्होंने खुले तौर पर कभी भी जाटों का विरोध नहीं किया, बल्कि बार-बार जाटों के क्षेत्र में मंचों से अपने आप को जाट ही कहता रहा। इस राजनीति को करवाने वाले कौन थे, इस बात को हरियाणा का जाट अच्छी तरह से समझता है कि किस प्रकार करनाल ब्राह्मण सभा ने सरकार से मिलकर जाटों के आरक्षण अर्थात गुरनाम सिंह आयोग की रिपोर्ट को निरस्त करवाया। आज उन्हीं का बेटा कुलदीप बिश्रोई, जो गैर जाट का नारा लगाकर बहुत ही घृणित और लज्जित राजनीति कर रहा है और इस बात को भी हरियाणा के जाट अच्छी तरह समझते हैं कि ये काम कौन करवा रहा है। अभी कल की तो बात है कि हरियाणा में जाट आरक्षण का विरोध ब्राह्मण जाति ने किस प्रकार किया था। हम ये बात तो समझ सकते हैं कि अहीर, गुर्जर, सैनी कुम्हार, लोहार आदि जाट आरक्षण का विरोध करते हैं, तो उसका स्पष्ट कारण है कि जाट उनके हिस्से में अपना हिस्सा बंटाने वाला था, लेकिन ब्राह्मण किस आधार पर जाट आरक्षण का विरोध कर रहे हैं? जाटों को आरक्षण मिलने या न मिलने से ब्राह्मण समाज को किसी प्रकार का नुकसान नहीं, फिर भी जाटों का विरोध हुआ, इसको जाट समाज को अच्छी तरह समझना चाहिए और यह केवल इतिहास से ही समझा जा सकता है। अभी हजकां पार्टी ने भारतीय जनता पार्टी से गठबंधन किया है, इसका अर्थ जाट समाज को बड़ा गहराई से समझना होगा अन्यथा वह समय आएगा कि जाटों को राजनीतिक तौर पर एक दिन जलील होना पड़ेगा और उसी इतिहास को दोहराने का कुछ लोगों का प्रयास जारी है। जहां तक राजनीतिक पार्टियों में भ्रष्टाचार की बात है, इस बारे में यह सच्चाई है कि जिस पार्टी को जितना लंबा सत्ता भोगने का अवसर मिला, उसने उतना ही लंबा भ्रष्टाचार किया। भारतीय जनता पार्टी के तो दो अध्यक्ष भ्रष्टाचार के कारण ही हटाने पड़े थे। इसलिए ये एक दूसरे पर जो आरोप लगा रहे हैं, ये समझा जाए कि वह अपने आप पर लगा रहे हैं।

It was least expected from learned and well read independent thinker like you. You're biased here, you talk of society betterment and here you just focusing on Jat reservation - getting it by all means .. ethical or unethical.

Instead of relying on Reservation addictive drug we must focus on the game plan. I’ve read the thread with great interest & keenness. To my mind, there are certain ambiguities. I present them for the perusal of Jat intellectuals.

Commandant Sangawan is one of the prominent leaders of the Jats of Haryana and has applaudable knowledge of the Jats to some extent. Mr Bhajan Lal was a staunch Bishnoi and did what no other leader of any community could do for the betterment of the Bishnoi community. His steadfastness for only his community is unquestionable. Basically he was anti-Jat. Since he is no more it is normally regarded as a bad manner to speak against the dead. But, fact is fact, Mr Lal used to claim that he was also a descendant of the Jats when he was speaking in a gathering or in an area having Jat majority. He would claim himself as a Punjabi refugee displaced from Pakistan when he was addressing the assemblage of the Punjabi refugees. Undoubtedly he was a very shrewd politician. It was during his regime, the original residents of Haryana, i.e., especially the Jats were never given their due. It may be a fact that he never openly challenged the Jats, but the truth is that he left no stone unturned to keep the Jats from their due. The corruption & bribery which was almost negligent became pervasive throughout Haryana under his regime.

Mr Sangwan is on one hand, condemning, decrying & enlightening us about the origin of the Nehrus, and elaborating how a Muslim turned into a Hindu Brahman and his descendants became the rulers in Indian democracy and never did any favours to our community. On the other hand, he’s telling us that we should support Congress party because its chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi, maybe (in one out of 1 million chances) a descendant of the Jat blood. Isn’t it a hyperbolic conclusion, I’m afraid? Mr Sangwan seems undoubtedly intellectual Jat because he claims that he has proofs to prove his hyperbolic claims. It would have been far better if he had attached all the proofs that he has to support his claims. Constitutionally, it is the prerogative of a common man to cast his vote in for favour of a person or a party, and therefore, in my view, we should not try to distort such a prerogative by playing with the sentiments and emotions of the community. Mr Subramaniam Swamy is a south Indian Brahman politician, and he has done a lot of research in connection with Mrs Sonia Gandhi. He has put all the documentary proofs on his website. Now, if we are to believe Commandant Sangwan regarding the Jat ‘forefathers’ or ‘ancestors’ and of Mrs Gandhi, we ought to reject the proofs presented by Mr Swamy, only on the basis of her being a descendant from Jat blood. What a funny situation!!!

2. any concept of dada nagar kheda/bhoombiya?>> An example: Jyani are both Bishnoi and Hindu/Sikh (bajan's wife is Jyani and used to call my dadaji Bhai). We have different "Pitr" par hum sab bishnoi and hindu Jasnath ji jyani ko dhokte the jinki sabse badi dhok lagti he vo hamare sabse bade "pitr devta he".

Dr Singh wants some clarifications on what I’ve posted on this thread. As per the Hindu system of Verna the Brahmans occupy the highest place and after them are the Kshatriyas, the Vaishyas and the Surdras respectively. I believe there is no controversy in this regard. In the olden days, the Brahmans had monopoly in the field of education. (Ignore, if you contradict). In addition to this, they enjoyed and are still enjoying the status of temple priests & performing similar other chores in various walks of a Hindu’s life from birth to death, and further. I’m not a history scholar; I’ve stated that because there is similar general perception among the common educated people.
I understand Dr Singh is a valued historian amongst us. Interestingly, Dr Singh has almost evaded the point which, I’m afraid to say, I wish to bring into the notice of my fellow Jat brothers and sisters. My sole intention is to bring the Jat intelligentsia to comprehend, to focalize intensively on ‘THE POLITICAL FUTURE OF THE JATS’!

Will this not be proper if we try to understand how some castes and communities have mesmerized the political parties in general and the politicians in particular on account of their collective voting power? Has this not become possible because of their casting votes as a vote bank (with maybe the exception of a few members of such castes and community)? I agree hundred % is almost impossible. May I beseech the learner readers to ignore whether the Brahmans imparted education to the Jats in the very beginning or not? This is not important at all, at present. We need to focus our attention on the political future of the Jats because this is in our absolute interests and we must not be ashamed of doing so. Dr Singh wants some clarifications on what I’ve posted on this thread. As per the Hindu system of Verna the Brahmans occupy the highest place and after them are the Kshatriyas, the Vaishyas and the Surdras respectively. I believe there is no controversy in this regard. In the olden days, the Brahmans had monopoly in the field of education. (Ignore, if you contradict). In addition to this, they enjoyed and are still enjoying the status of temple priests & performing similar other chores in various walks of a Hindu’s life from birth to death, and further. I’m not a history scholar; I’ve stated that because there is similar general perception among the common educated people.
I understand Dr Singh is a valued historian amongst us. Interestingly, Dr Singh has almost evaded the point which, I’m afraid to say, I wish to bring into the notice of my fellow Jat brothers and sisters. My sole intention is to bring the Jat intelligentsia to comprehend, to focalize intensively on ‘THE POLITICAL FUTURE OF THE JATS’!

Will this not be proper if we try to understand how some castes and communities have mesmerized the political parties in general and the politicians in particular on account of their collective voting power? Has this not become possible because of their casting votes as a vote bank (with maybe the exception of a few members of such castes and community)? I agree hundred % is almost impossible. May I beseech the learner readers to ignore whether the Brahmans imparted education to the Jats in the very beginning or not? This is not important at all, at present. We need to focus our attention on the political future of the Jats because this is in our absolute interests and we must not be ashamed of doing so. Therefore, my friends, let’s join our heads together to reach consensus in finding out the means and ends to consolidate the political future in our interest.

I am a student of history and love to learn new things from out of discussion and reading which has led me to involve myself as member of this Jatland Forum.

To straighten the discussion, we must distinguish between the old times Varna based social system where upward and downward sling was permissible and the later day system of Birth based caste system which is prevalent in Hindu or say Indian society exists. [Though Islam and Sikhism reject and abhor the caste system based on birth but in practice it exists in them too].

Secondly, the Four Varnas of the bygone days constitute all Indian society of today including the mixing up of foreign hordes who came here from time to time. All these elements make it difficult to pinpoint who represent which Varana of the Ancient times whether he is Brahman of today or any other.

Since Jats enjoy respectable representation in the present political system, I think, there seems no plausible reason to be afraid about 'THE POLITICAL FUTURE OF THE JATS!'

I am of the opinion that we must leave politics to politicians, as none is ready to buy the utopian idea of collective voting power.

[On the Jatland just below 1500 active members have so many opinions on one or the other political issue, then how one can expect to unite the millions of the Jats as one unit to vote collectively to gain bargaining position to achieve their political goals! ]

Instead of raising bogey of unforeseeable political future, we must be on alert against rising orthodoxy, dogmatism and other social evils affecting our community.

It would be in the fitness of things to awaken the Jats to adopt modern science and technology in their day to day activities, educate their progeny in best possible institutions, develop among children, scientific thinking along with love and respect for social and family ethos and moral values, patriotism mixed with love to mankind.

If the community succeeds in generating knowledgeable and good human resource none can stop bright future for the JATS.

Mai Sangwan saab ki bahot ijjat karta hu. Mera anurodh hai ki court me jaane ke bajaye kya wo proofs yha JL par nahi chipkaye ja sakte? Sabke pass itna time nahi hota ki 15-20 saal intejaar kare court me case daal kar..
