A bomb blast occured at Bangalore yesterday. Whether it has 'terrorist' angle or not is not clear to Karnataka Government as perception of a minister and the Chief Minister differ. Read extract of the report:
''The blast at Church Street in Bangalore on Sunday evening killing a woman and injuring other three people was a terror attack, said Karnataka Home Minister KJ George. The blast occurred around 8.30 pm when an improvised explosive device went off near Coconut Grove restaurant on upscale Church Street parallel to MG Road.
The state government has called a high-level meeting on Monday while maintaining that the incident happened despite police being on high alert.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to him and offered central help in the investigation into the blast.
However, he was not ready to confirm the terror angle saying, “Let the investigation go on. Let us not come to any conclusion before that.”
