ये शीर्षक ना तो किसी विशेष आकर्षण के लिए है ना ही किसी विपरीत चिंतन विषयों का घालमेल है । यह तो सिर्फ मेरे निजी विचार हैं, सोचा कि आप लोगों के साथ बाँट लूँ । ना तो मैं वेमुला को जानता हूं, ना ही किसी नारे लगाने वाले विद्यार्थी को । पिछले १३ साल से इस विश्वविद्यालय में अध्यापन व अध्ययन का कार्य कर रहा हूं । आज ऐसे दो राहे पर अपने आप को देखता हूं । जहां JNU की छवि से अपने आप को संकोच में पाता हूं तो दूसरी ओर अपने आप को जाट के रूप में उसी धर्मसंकट में पाता हूं । मुझे लेकिन पुरजोर शब्दों में कहना है, हां मैं गर्व से कहता हूं कि मैं जाट हूं और JNU में शिक्षक होने पर गर्वित महसूस करता हूं । कुछ तो है जो दोनो का संयोग मुझे आम भीड़ से अलग करता है । यहां मैं किसी भी पक्ष की वकालत करने नहीं आया हूं । जाट और JNU दोनो ही पर्याप्त सक्षम है अपनी चुनौतियों को प्रत्युत्तर देने में । मेरा कोई संवाद नहीं है दोनो ही परिस्थितियों से । एक जाट होने के नाते मैं अपने आप को JNU में अकेला पाता हूं , और एक JNU शिक्षक होने के नाते अपने आपको जाटों मे अकेला पाता हूं । मूक चलचित्र ही तरह ही हूं । लेकिन एक चीज है जो मुझे छू गई, और मुझसे रहा ना गया । पवन कुमार जो शायद मेरे सबसे करीब था, वो मेरी तरह JNU का शिक्षक तो नहीं था परंतु JNU का विद्यार्थी जरूर था, क्योंकि NDA को स्नातक डिग्री JNU ही देता है । और साथ ही एक प्यारा मासूम बांका जाट नौजवान था । गोलियां नश्वर शरीर को ले उड़ चलीं पर सूरज की अंतगिनत अस्ताचल किरणे पवन को सलाम करने धरती पर उतरीं। कोई भी कितनी भी दुआएं करले पर पवन की भरपाई कभी ना हो सकेगी । फिर मेरा ध्यान इस ओर गया कि आखिर इसका बोध तो पवन को भी ना गया होगा कि उसकी जाति क्या है और कर्म के क्षेत्र में उसका पराक्रम ही सबसे बड़ी डिग्री थी ना कि JNU की । हम सभी अपना काम करते हुए अपनी जाति और डिग्रीयों की ओर नहीं देखते हैं, बल्कि कर्म के प्रयोजन से अपनी उर्जा के तार जोड़ते हुए उसके समापन की ओर उदात्त रहते हैं । मुझे कक्षा में जाते समय यह कभी नहीं अहसास रहता है कि मेरी जाति क्या है और क्या मैं JNU की कक्षा में हूं । मैने ५ साल गवर्नमेंट कालेज में भी पढ़ाया है । जितनी निष्ठा से वहां कक्षा में जाना हुआ, तब में और अब में किसी प्रकार का अंतर नहीं । अंतर सिर्फ अध्यापन की विषय वस्तु का ही है । २०१२ में मुझे चीन की fudan university में इंडिया चेयर पर पहला प्रोफेसर नियुक्त होने का सम्मान मिला, मैं वहां इस सम्मान को पाने वाला पहला भारतीय था । मुझे तब भी सिर्फ यही एक लगन थी कि वहां पर भारतीय दिमाग का लोहा मनवाना है । और इस लगन से पढ़ाना है कि वो याद रखें कि हिन्दुस्तान से एक शिक्षक आया था । आखिर बाज कितनी ही ऊंची उड़ान भर ले, बैठने के लिए तो पेड़ की डाल पर तो आना ही होता है । JNU मुझे वही वृक्ष डाल लगती रही है, और जब भी सफलता की उड़ान भरी तो एक बार यही सोचा कि जिस जाट पृष्ठभूमी से आया हूँ, उससे यहाँ तक आना आसान नहीं रहा । यह पेड़ नहीं रहा तो पहचान नही रहेगी, और जमीन पे बैठे बाज की तो वैसे भी कोई पहचान नहीं होती । आखिर जाट और JNU दोनो ही पहचान खोने का अहसास कितना दुखद हो सकता है, यह शायद ऐसा है जैसे हर रोज अपने अंदर के पवन कुमार को खोजने जैसी कैफियत है । जीवन में भावनाओं का सरलीकरण हो जाता है, आखिर स्मरण शक्ति के साथ भूलने की प्रवृत्ति भी इंसान को भगवान ने दी है । हर बार ही भूल जाता हूं, फिर ना जाने कहां से एक और झोंका आता है, और अंदर फिर कुछ और खोजने को मन करता है । ये दो पहचान शब्द जाट और JNU, मेरी ही नहीं उत्तर पश्चिम भारत के गांवों से आने वाले अनेक छात्रों को कचोट रही होगी, जिनके पास ना वेमुला जैसे उच्च विचार बाण हैं और ना ही लट्ठभर का दम । ये एक सभी मूक चलचित्र का पात्र हैं, जो बाज की उड़ान भरना चाहते हैं, पर हरबार उड़ने की चाह में बाज के बच्चों जैसे पेड़ से जमीन पर आकर गिर पड़ते हैं ।

This agitation and issue was left burning for so many days, so many years, what for? Was it to "kill" people? Was it to "divide" people? Was it to incite "fear" in people, so that it becomes easy for "netas" to rule?

Its crystal clear what you wrote as that is only governance our politicians do to empower themselves and their own family by collecting excess of everything but when it comes in sake of justice then only colonial rule is in their eyes and mind. That's bitter truth for which everyone who does not have equal support like them has to suffer.

On the contrary, in my opinion, its not easy to get into government jobs these days as it was earlier but if you are one along those strong determiners, then you should be proud of yourself to qualify through tough general quota in country.

At one thread we talk about our hardship and taking ourselves self dependent, then why on other thread we need to discuss that we also need an extended arm to stretch our legs because we want to define ourself deformed, why so, can you explain? Our parents had earned a lot for our studies and invested same to see us making crowd gathering for reservation which infact is being meant for poor social class by caste as in past they have less resource for income like Chamar, Dhobi, Nai and other similar category. Also, they did not possess any farming land where they can harvest and sell that in market to earn good amount. Due to lack of these resources, government earlier decided reservation quota for them taking in mind that their population is also no less to be occupied like this. Some will qualify through this system and rest will help themselves other ways which government always being taking care like providing them free rations, health amenities and even education. Then, why we Jats who already have farming lands cannot uprise ourselves by growing, harvesting and selling or can do animal husbandry business as well. Looking towards urban sector, many Jat are also involved in bribing government departments to secure job and again a lower middle class or middle class candidate has to struggle for one opportunity without demanding any quota because he/she knows his individual worth that can be proved either in public sector or private sector. Why to trouble yourself for such cause and then learn the boastful behave of Indian political leaders?

If anyday you see any Elite Brahmin, Baniya or Rajput getting quota, then take charge of your laathi as well, whether one get wounded or any political leader killed by you for justice. That's only to post.
