Girl gang raped in front of family
Pays for brother’s indiscretion
Our Correspondent

Meerut, October 11
Another black chapter was added to the history of Muzaffarnagar district on the night of Thursday, October 9, when a teenaged girl was gang raped in the presence of her parents and other family members by some youths of a particular community. The girl was subjected to this torture as her brother had eloped with the daughter of the landlord and the two had got married.

Communal tension gripped the entire region after the horrific incident. All commercial activities ground to a halt on Friday and Saturday in protest against the incident. Senior police officials are still camping at the spot. Additional police force and PAC have also been deployed there.

According to the villagers, Davendra, alias Sonu, son of Gyan Prakash Dhiman, had been courting Roshan Jahan and two days back both of them eloped. Certain villagers also said that they had married. Roshan Jahan’s parents complained to the police and they were located at Saharanpur. Isreal, father of Roshan Jahan, and Gyan Prakash’s landlord descended on the house of Davendra with several supporters. A teenaged sister of Davendra was brutally raped by the culprits in the presence of her parents and family members.

The Police Department has been unnerved by the incident. Senior police officials have rushed to the spot.

In a telephonic conversation, the SSP, Muzaffarnagar, Mr Navnit Sikaird, told NCR Tribune the wife of Isreal, Ruksana, played a major role in the crime as she was the one who instigated the culprits to rape the girl at least seven times. Senior police officials and the District Magistrate have visited the place.

Dharmpal Ji:

The story certainly sends chills through your spine. What a barbaric episode!

I did rent a DVD yesterday and watched Khwahish simply because of so much public interest in comments on Mallika. Ignore her dress etc. Who cares ! The message is a great one - when two people are READY to decide about their lives, let them do it. It is their choice and their lives. If something is significantly wrong, you may point it out to them and then leave the rest for them to live and learn. Isn't it the joy of life!

Our society has much to learn - may be it will or may be it won't.

Respected Tau Jee, Budh Nashier Jee & Dear Members,
Greetings!
This is the true picture of the society we live in. Here people need to elope to live a life of their own choice. One more innocent has paid price for being a relative.

Two person made their move/eloped here.
How come only one can be hold responsible for the act even if they did some thing wrong?
Why they did not control their own blood if they have to enforce some restructions?
How they justified their act of torturing one innocent? - then they should play the same act in their own family.
Shame on them and shame on the society, who encourage these shameful acts by simply tolerating them.
Simply ignoring the real issues would not help. We need to discuss them with open mind to reach the root of the cause and we should not be ashamed of that.

Regards,

akdabas

Dear Narendder- Ashok and Budh ji-

Thank you very much for sharing your views on such a important national- human issue.
I am glad you understand the problems.
Some of us will never admit that there is a problem or issue because
MAERA BHARAT MAHAN HAE_ VAHAN TO YAH BAT HO HI NAHI SAKATI.
These things happening every day in our jat heartland- in our own villages.
The double standrad is their one rule for boy another for girl.
One law only apply to poor no law for rich and criminals.
One law for hindu - no law for muslim.
If this thing happened between jat boy and jat girl both would have been hanged to a tree.
That is jat way of justice.
What happened above is a Muslim way of justice.
Crime is a crime and justice should be = for all.
Let us all admit honestly that this is law and order problem- national problem- social problem and discuss it fairly.
I am sure we will find the answer.
Let us hope and pray this type of crime never happen again in India and world.
