Bhai Sukhbir,
I watched DEV only last night and to be frank was a bit disappointed with the ending. The director, known for an earlier blockbuster like 'ARDH SATYA' seems to have got confused between trying to sermonise and/or finding a solution. However, it was a treat to Amitabh and Om Puri together for the first time on screen. Kareena looked good without make up.
The lesson from the movie is: THE ALTERNATIVE TO CO-EXISTENCE IS CO-DESTRUCTION.

Destruction carried out intelligently is good for progress. May be this is why we Hindus have Lord shiva the destroyer. Civilisations who have sprang up after destruction have always done better. Look at Germany and Japan. Even to get good crop, often we have to burn the 'Ghaas Foos' in our fields. In olden days nature took the role of destroying weak and there was good healthy balance.
