Hi,

Please do not display the IP address of all members with their post, it is risky to share their IP. Anyone using home computer, without having proxy set up/other protecting software installation, may be hacked by unauthorized person.

It may be recorded at server level for your reference, but please do not make it public.

This is just for common interest for members.

Thanks,

U r right Sir, Ip should not be displayed. Admin can keep it for his internal use, but should not be publicly displayed.

Hi

The security concerns are valid. However, the IP is actually shown only to registered AND logged in members. While it is technically possible for someone to read a IP and trace it, the IPs can not be "harvested" by a program coz of the way they are displayed...

Displaying the IP actually serves a very useful authentication purpose in ensuring accurate profile info... You might like to think abt it some more... We can revisit this sometime in the future...
