The All India Jat Maha Sabha (AIJMS), is organising a national convention of the Jat clans on the 30th and the 31st of May 2002. The two day convention is scheduled to be held at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium near the Wellington Hospital New Delhi between 11 and 5 pm daily.

Organised by the President Shri Dara Singh a legendary sportsman and respectd Jat Elder and Shri Yudhvir Singh General Secretary , the MahaSabha is very ably supported by a well knit team of dedicated Jat volunteers. The 2 day sabha is being held at a time of grave importance for the the Jat Kaum, the Indian Nation , the subcontinent and indeed the world.

The sabha will address itself to 7 burning issues of the times we live in. These issues impair the growth and well being of the qaum and seriously threaten the future of the community and its rightful place in the Nation and its tryst with destiny. For details of the agenda look at this space tommorow.

In keeping with the growing international relevance of the Jat Kaum it has been decided that Jats all over the world have the right and a real need to keep abreast of the latest developments at the convention.

Several arrangements are being made, to enable the 'international' jats to communicate with the Mahasabha and facilitate their 2way participation through questions and raising of issues, in the shortest possible time.

By communicating with the undermentioned email address you will be able to project any question you wish to ask or issue you seek to raise, at the maha sabha convention.

While we hope to achieve near simultaneous communication of the proceedings, this is the first time when such an effort is being made to bring modern communication systems into the service of the community. It will take your good wishes and positive energy to facilitate a higher level of communication and interaction for a more useful convention.

Your participation as a member of the community, is important for the power, prestige and success of the Jat community...

Amit:

Thank you for updating us all on the Mahasabha info, and of course, good luck with the convention. Please do share the agenda and proceedings of the convention with the Jatland members. I hope the local Jats make sincere and concentrated efforts for this historical event. I am sure Nitin will most probably be part of this meeting. It will be helpful to somehow connect the two (Jatland and Mahasabha) especially compare the priorities and or core issues facing Jats today? Please do make the details available to Jatland.

Best wishes,

Sujata

Dear all:

All year long we have been talking about Jat issues, now that the formal stage has been set why such luke-warm reaction? Whatever happened to the Jat rigor? Why not post suggestions for agenda and get involved? I know there are many on this site with high stakes in Jat progress, let's see how their ideas transform into action.

It is heartening to know that Jat Maha Sabha is meeting soon. All those who take the initiative are worthy of admiration. While We are still waiting for the agenda there is an urgent need to work with rest of the community.
