KANPUR: Whether there is some reality to the muhnochwa mystery yet remains to be ascertained. However, there is nothing unreal about the terror this creature has generated in the city and surrounding districts.
Two persons have already been allegedly attacked by the puzzling muhnochwa in two different parts of the city. The victims include a boy was received scar in the shape of a worm’s foot on his face. Meanwhile, two more persons of Unnao district claimed that they too had been inflicted with injuries by this mystery mania. However, the police and the administration remain doubly doubtful about the existence of any such creature upon receipt of very flimsy evidence.
According to information, two persons in the city had so far fallen victim to the muhnochwa menace. In Unnao district the tally of muhnochwa victims had doubled to four persons who bore the scars of the attack by this unidentified flying object. The doctors who were treating patients claimed that all victims had received similar injuries resembling scratches or burns. However, doctors maintained that on the face of it there seemed to be little to fear as all scars seemed to have been inflicted in a pre-planned manner.
In Nawabganj area of Kanpur, a middle aged man Shiv Narain was sleeping inside his jewellery shop when he was allegedly attacked by the muhnochwa. The nephew of the victim also claimed that he saw the object. He claimed to have sighted a green coloured flying object.
