I gathered this information off the interner newspaper sites- these are findings of recent surveys:
1. 77.5% of households in Haryana do not have toilets.
2. 2.29% of population is educated upto graduate or higher level.
3. 0.5% population have technical education.
4. Haryana has per capita domestic product of Rs 12,158 (1997 figures)- just below that of Goa and Punjab
5. If there had been no sex selective abortions, Haryana would have a fertility rate of 3.3 instead of current 2.9.
6. Sex selective abortions account for 1/3rd decline in total fertility rate in Urban areas of Haryana.
7. Over last 10 years Haryana has registered sharpest decline in 0-6 agegroup girls in the whole of country.
