Dudee Uncle,

I think his rank should be changed. As far as I know, he was awarded PVC when he was a "Major" and he retired at the rank of a "Brigadier".

Dear ANURAG
Iwill be happy to change it MAJOR-GEN. OR CNC
I WISH I COULD.
BUT RECORD SAY HE RETIRED AS COL.
BRIG. HOSHIER SINGH IS FROM SHAKHOL. MAHAVIR CHAKARA

I WAS LUCKY TO MET BOTH OF THEM AT DELHI CANTT ON DIFFERNT DATE.

IF ANY BODY HAVE RECORD OF BRIG- I WILL BE MORE HAPPY.

Dear Dudee uncle,

I was mistaken on that. I had only heard, never checked up the record for his rank when he retired. Still I am confused between the following:
Did he retire as Full Colonel, or Liutenant Colonel.

The IMA Roll of Honor says Lt. Col., but most other places on web said Col. Please clarify.

More informaiton & Citation of Col. Hoshiar Singh's PVC battle can be found at:
