hi ppl.
I'm new to this site. My name is Raman. Im from UK.

as for jat origins, I'm not sure on myself.
my parents are not v.well educated and they've always maintained that 'jats came from yadavs' theory.

then, there's a theory of the saka races.

a good book is one by a jatt-sikh author 'BS Dhillon' on 'jatts'.
Another one is by Hukam Singh Pawar but that goes back to the 'jatts were once yadavs' theory, which khushwant singh apparently too has said somewhere (?!)
there's nonica dutta but she's supposed to be crap.

I'm here to get enlightened ... so plz ...

respect 2 all.

Have you read Hukam singh's book.

He does not support this Yadhav theory. Only Quanango pushes it, and Quanango is a Bengali Historian> his world view is restricted to the Bharatpur house, and the Yadhavs.

Also Yadu, Jadu sound similar an are confusing, and the temptation is there to take the simple way amd follow Quanango.

Yadu, is not Yadhav

There is plenty in the archives of this site and on the Jat history group- URL below. Do join.
