Even I thought of that. But tell me one thing, should we call

12111 .....twelve thousand one hundred and eleven
OR
12111 ..... Eleven thousand, eleven hundred, and eleven.

One more point.....

the question was ..... " write down the number eleven thousand,eleven hundred, and eleven.?"

If we look at the question then we can find out some commas (,s) in it. When we write some number in words then we dont put commas in between. It indicates that 3 different numbers are asked for.

11000 1100 and 11. Hence my answer.

Maybe, Sandeep could throw some light on it.
