Wealthy focuses on the wealth aspect of ones life and health on physical fitness but being high on ‘wellthy’ quotient means being high on a financial, physical, social, emotional, sexual, mental and spiritual level.So wellthy is in. Find out how wellthy we are? Whether we fit the wellthy bill?
Here are some easy guidelines deciding our ‘wellthy’ quotient…

Financial Health: The phrase financial health is not that we have a strong reservoir of fund to match the whole life requirement rather we should strong enough and much competent to solve our financial issues on our own.
 We estimate the future requirement in advance and make an income column to fulfill what needed.
 We don’t hesitate taking risk while the course of financial matters.
 We manage well our portfolio and educated well on financial matters.
 During the financial crisis we work as normal and manage our problem rather worrying about them.
 We focused on making cash/fund return assets column rather creating liability.
Social Health:
 When we meet people, we feel good about the impression we make on them.
 We are open, honest and get along well with other people.
 We are outgoing, understanding, intelligent and supportive person.
 We participate in a wide variety of social activities and enjoy being with people who are different from us.
 We get along well with our family.
 We are a good listener.
 We consider the feeling of others and don’t act in a hurtful or selfish way.
Emotional health:
 We can laugh even about the bad things that happen in our life.
 When angry, we take a non-confrontational and non-hurtful approach.
 We recognize when we are stressed and take step to relax through exercise, quiet time, or other activities.
 We feel good about our self and believe others like us, for who we are.
 When upset, we talk others’ and actively try to work through our problems.
 We are flexible and adapt or adjust to change in a positive way.
Mental Health:
 We are alert and ready to respond to life challenge with due thought and sound judgments.
 We manage time well rather than letting time manage us.
 We consider the alternatives before making decisions.
 We learn form our mistakes and try to act differently next time.
 Our friends and family trust our judgments.
Physical health:
 We maintain a desirable weight.
 We engage in vigorous exercise such as brisk walking, yoga or any other exercise.
 We feel good about the condition of our body.
 We get 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
 Our immune system is strong and we are able to avoid most infectious diseases.
 We have lot energy and can get through the day without being overly tired.
 We take a balanced diet.
Sexual health:
 We make sure that we use contraceptives before engaging in sexual activities.
 We don’t change sexual partners frequently.
 We are aware about various sexual transmitted diseases.
 We consult a doctor or expert immediately if we have a problem.
 We make an effort to keep over selves well-informed on sex related diseases; and clarify doubts and myths.
Spiritual health:
 We believe life is a precious gift that should be nurtured.
 We take time to enjoy nature and the beauty around over selves.
 We take time out alone to think about what important in life- who we are what we value, where we fit in and where we are going.
 We have faith in a greater power, be it a god-like force.
 We engage in acts of caring and good will without expecting something in return.
 We try and work for peace in interpersonal relationships, in the community, and in the world at large.

Result: If most of our answers are a yes, then we are aware of the importance of these areas in our overall wellness. More importantly, we are putting our knowledge to work, by practicing good ‘wellthy’ habits. Although most of us recognize the importance of wellness, it is easy to get caught up in our busy schedules, where we fall to maintain a holistic regime that metes all our needs. Stress, tensions… all add to worsening health, so it is important to asses your wellness on all these dimensions. So get going on getting ‘wellthy’!
