Hi All,

We all are familiar with this whole issue of fake identity and some
members suspecting others and so on.

Of course the issue of fake identities is very true, but at the same
time no one really has a viable solution of dealing with it. I think one
must be very careful before pointing fingers at other members. It creates
a lot of ill will. Further you can't really substantiate it either.

I see at least one member here who uses some of the terms I have used
in my posts. Of course that person is well within their rights to do so, but
it may very well be that they want to piggy back on the fuss generated by some
members and create more confusion like that. "Hey look both these posters are
using the same words and so on"...if you know what I mean.

When things like that happen the fake poster has no problem since
no one really knows who he/she is. But if we point fingers at some
valid member their image does get tarnished. In that situation they'll
even begin to wonder that perhaps it IS BETTER to have a fake identity.

So lets not just start pointing fingers and creating ill will. Have you known the
feeling when someone comes to your house, later you find something missing and
then you start suspecting...only to later find the missing item under you sofa all
along ! You feel so guilty of baselessly suspecting someone.

If you have any concerns about any member, then send a private message
to the administrators. They are best equipped to deal with that. They can try
to deduce further information from ip address, location etc. But at least
let them handle it.

And on top of that, just deal with people in a quiet rational manner. If you find
any poster offensive etc, then just ignore them. Don't follow their posts and
stay away from such threads. That is the most effective way to deal with this.

People here are not fools. They can all judge who is who, and what is going on.

And as for me, I am as valid as the damn needle on my weighing machine
which never seems to stop quickly enough !!! ;)
