Rural India is a not a lucrative market to telecom corporates and no one wants to go there. This is what TRAI chief has to say on the matter..

These are some area where Jatland activists can mobilise public and create pressure groups. Telecom wiz kids of Jatland can prepare a commercial report and argue the case in favour of rural India... Remember, India will shine only when Rural India shines..

u dont have to rely on big telecome companies anymore with the new technology available now. If rural India is ready to pay (lower than phone bills), it can get connected to world. Dont wait for govt. If any pressure is needed, its to free the techonlogy, remove licensing needs and allow new techology to freely experiment with diff soln.
