We have pruned roughly 1100 members who had not logged in over a year and had never posted on the forums. They will have to re-register on Jatland to regain full access.

Dear Nitin,

Thats Good Action. At least we should have someone who is contributing in one way or the other. Just joining jatland once will not help.

Dear Nitin

It should be scheduled at JATLAND server so that you don't have to delete these Id's manually.

Do you inform these people before deleting their Id's,if not kindly do that.May be because of some inevitable reasons they left our site,if you inform them they might become active again.

Don't take me wrong,it's just a advice,rest all you have to decide.

We need more & more members for the upliftment of our people.

Today’s count of “members List” shows a total of 4854 members. New members are added on a daily basis. The popularity of the site can be gauged from the fact that more readers appear here as “guests” who actually read the material without log-in. Today’s bulletin reads : Most users ever online was 106, June 23rd, 2006 at 02:50 PM.

On the contrary, on a further analysis today, I have found that there are 520 members who have not visited the site after 31 December 2004 ! Of these, 148 members have '0' posts, 222 have only 1-4 posts and 150 with 5 or more posts to their credits. The reasons for their not visiting the site for such a long time may be multiple – some are in such professions where Internet access is very limited. Some may have forgotten their passwords or login names. Many gain membership just for fun and then forget. Very few may be ones “Jo rooth kar bhaag gaye” !

Members may themselves check – click “Members List” and then click “Last visit”. If some of you happen to know someone in this category, you may like to inform them by e-mail to login the site occasionally – if they have forgotten their passwords etc, they may approach JatLand Admn. for help, through e-mail.
