Hi Vikash,
you said you word on smart cards, which one ( Contact less, contact, proxy)
Now looking cost & market each cards need different type MCU. but in most case only 8 Bit MCU.
If you want interface chip dat for smart card then i have data on
SCM : contact smart card chip
PHilips: Contact-less smart card chip (14.xMhz)
But in general
For 8 Bit MCUs:
For CISC : X51 core is easy ( Comp. ATMEL, PHILIPS, Dallas are manufacturing this core base MCU) best tool for this is "KEIL"( C cross complier)
for RISC : microchip is good one( good for automation industry). Visit www.microchip.com
for 16 Bit MCUS
TI :MSP430 series( www.ti.com) IAR c-Cross complier required.
Renesas( old Hitachi) : H8 core
For 32 bit:
ARM7/ARM9 : best Processor ( available from lot of comp.)
Some free tool ara available, or use GNU tool chain
Power PC : available from Freescale/IBM & AMCC.
Get free Code-worrier from freescale. (www.freescale.com)
