    1. BIJAAR - bull
    2. KATRA - buffalo's son
    3. KATIYA - buffalo's daughter
    4. BACHRA - cow's son
    5. BACHIYA - cow's daughter
    6. BUGGI - cart pulled by a JHOTTA
    7. BHUS - wheat straw
    8. BUNGAA - storage place for wheat straw
    9. GANDASA - chaff cutter
    10. KOLHU - device to take out juice from sugarcane and make GUD.

    Here are a few more:
    1. DAAKI - a mast guy who does great things are very popular
    2. ANDY - It falls in to the same category as Daaki but a modernized one.
    3. JHAKOI - A good sambodhan in haryanwi for the guy who is not going according to one's will or similar
    4. BHOJRA - Small bushes generally in the corner of the field
    5. SAANNI - A delicious mixtures of fodder for pets like jhotta, baladh etc
    6. SAANTTA - Leather ropes with thinkness app. 60mm and length app. 0.75 mts. Tied at the end of a stick to threaten Jhotta or Baladh to run. Some times used for beating some notorious kids in villages.
    7. KHADANJA - A floor made of bricks generally for the pet animals
    9. DOKEY - A fountain to fresh milk from the udders of cow or buffalo for their kid (Lawara) to make them feel that her kid is also having their milk.
    10. LAWARA - The young of buffalo or jhotta generally upto 4-5 months only
    11. BAANKALI - A serving made after the geets. It’s the boiled Chana with salt and very tasty.

    Bua, aapne ne saachi puri tayari kar di mane haryanvi sikhan ki.

    kuch mein bhi aapki dictionary mein add
    karun su, kuch galat ho to sahi aap kar dena aakhir cheli hun aapki.

    some simple ones:
    ----------------
    Latte - clothes
    jumfer - shirt
    patloon -trousers
    lapsi - dish
    kasan - utensil
    saag - cooked vegetables
    raachh - things.

    chhathi - celebrated on the 6th day after the birth of a boy .

    dasmi - celebrated by hawan & namkaran sanskar & rich food on the 10th day after the
    birth of a boy.

    nowdays chhathi & dasmi both r celebrated for girls also but earlier it was for newborn boys .
    proud to be a Jat.

    Ek aur word yaad aayaa hai .....

    DUKAANIA - that is a desi shawl.

    Aur word ke saath saath apni dadi bhi bahut yaad aa rahi hai. My dadi used to wear it. Wo apne charkhe kaat ke, rejja banwa ke , rangwa ke aur us pe khaad ke oddha karti thi. Hum apni dadi se slate pe batti se line lagwate the to hamesha tedhi line lagati thi par bhai dookania pe kati sidhhi line kadha karti.
    Eb to dadi bhi poori modren ho rahi ss.. dothi (saree) para kare, aur kitte bahar jana ho to do dothi tha ke poocha kare ' aa re koon se pahroon'.....


    Charkha - spinning wheel
    kukri - bundle of thread woven on charkha
    kaatna - make thread on charkha
    rejja - cloth made from home spun thread
    kaadhna - to do embroidery
    bookal marna - to wrap around to get cozy

    You are right about the Roadways description!

    Haryana Roadways mhare gaam mai kade rukya e na karti. Agar rukti tu bus adday te ek meel dur. Saasre (to in-laws house) jaawan aali chhori er bateu, donuaan ne bhajana padya karta bus ke pichhey pichhey. Er sail karan aali ka lota paani ka bharya ka bharya rah jaya karta. Mahre gaam ke baalak kum thodi thay, jib bi Roadways dehkte, dal-e maar maar kai Roadway ki dhoonai kar diya karte!

    Thanks for the continued additions. This tipoc is more than just a list of words! These words not only bring back nostalgia from our sweet childhood village days, they connect us deeply with each other. Infact there are some terms used in parts of Haryana and UP that I never knew! So keep adding!

    Here are some more from my side:
    1. BIJAAR : An abandoned bull
    2. JEWDA : The rope made of Sann to tie Jhotta aur Baladh
    3. KHALWA : The supports used on Buggi for takhtas
    4. KHOOTA : You all know this, i hope
    5. NYAM-SHYAM : A free thing from the shopkeeper along with the bought material.
    In western UP, it is called "LUBHAW"
    6. PLA : A utensil used for serving milk.
    7. SIPPI : Used to clean the handi used for boiling milk etc. i.e. for Khurachne ke liye

    There was a jheemri in our village. She never used to give roonga... Gaam ke baalak uske pichhay kuttay lagaa diya karte. Wa ekdum sudhi hogi!

    Thheka - huge container to store grains
    Eendhi - small ring made of cloth to carry pot on the head
    Palwa - small utensil with a long hand to take out liquids from jhaab, kadhawani etc...
    Geendo - ball
    Takhti - slate children used to carry to school
    Baraf - local form of ice-cream
