    The nadir at Baghpat

It is unbelievable and shock of the century. How all this can happen in our own jat heartland 'Baghpat'.

Who is responsible, the society, the greed or the culture, or our education system. The very roots of our development are at stake.

    This can't be true.

    http://cities.expressindia.com/fulls...?newsid=251900

Where is Govt., where are so called NGO's, where are our leaders ?

And Where is Mr. Ajit Singh ? and other so called saviors of our community. Busy making money and that too illegally ??

When it comes to votes and leadership we will find one after another claiming to be the real crusader and claim to lead the whole area alone.

How people can be so cruel and short sighted. How Govt. can even claim India is a developing country (Forget developed)

We need to wake up or we will be lost.

At 538/1000, west UP’s sex ratio touches the nadir at Baghpat
    Express News Service

Lucknow, August 20: Western Uttar Pradesh may be flourishing, but the sex ratio in districts like Muzzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Bulandshahr is downright shocking.

With a sex ratio of 538/1000, Baghpat scrapes the bottom of the barrel. NGOs working on the issue of female foeticide in the districts say it is high time the district administration took some stern steps to stop the infanticide.

Today, around 12 NGOs from various parts of the state came together to discuss regional problems related to female foeticide and the role of the district administration.

The meet was part of the Sajha Manch initiative by Vatsalya, an NGO working on female foeticide from the last several years. The consensus was that the district administration needs to strictly enforce laws pertaining to female foeticide and sex-determination tests.

“The situation is really bad in Baghpat. There are several villages where you find just one girl. People prefer keeping their daughters indoors to save them from harassment,” said L K Dhama from Navchetna Sansthan, Baghpat. According to him, the problem has reached such an extent that people have started buying brides from Assam, Bihar and West Bengal. “We had heard of the bride-buying business in states like Haryana and Punjab, but now it is becoming popular in western UP too,” he said.

Dhama claimed that the administration was turning a blind eye to the situation. “If the NGOs know about it, then the administration must be knowing as well. We have rescued a number of such brides but the business continues to flourish,” he said.

Gaurav Gaur of Sankalp in Meerut said, “Recently, we rescued a girl hailing from Uttarakhand. At times the administration has helped us but so far, no stern action has been taken regarding the trafficking of girls,” said Gaur.

It is down right shameful but we tend to look the problem straight rather than from micro eye.It is linked to the history.Any community which had been linking women with their IZZAT/honour are leading barbarians in murduring their daughters.Their false sense of pride has become a slaughter house for ladies. They don't want to bring daughters to this planet and stake their false sense of pride because in modern times crime against young women and minor girls alike which has rissen beyond proportion. And once something like rape or intercast marriage or elopement happens the families of these so called honourable communities feel that their Izzat has been ruined and as such life has no meaning.Coupled with that are the problem of dowry, adjustment with in-laws and other social barriers. This all compells these communities to adress the root cause of the problem and that is NOT HAVING A GIRL CHILD AT ALL and there by eliminating the problem for good, without even giving a thought that God has created this balance of having almost equal number of both sexes, so as to maintain a reproductive balance but then we in India[specially amongest JATS] lack that sense of collective responsibilities and thus are defying nature. This will ultimately lead to punishment to mankind by nature.

Who says that women in India have come a long way.I strongly feel that their position has been further undermined in this so called developed phase.in olden days birth of a girl child was only taken as a lesser good but today it is taken as a curse.Where are we heading then....is a question which stares us all in face.Like it or lump it but the fact is that JATS are the biggest defaulters on this count,be it honour killings or be the murder of a girl child in the womb. Also we are the most insensitive people to the inspiration and welbeing of our womenfolk. It is most unfortunate chapter of our existance and is indeed shameful. We sing songs of mothers and sisters but kill them on the drop of a hat.Unfortunately no body listens to nobody in our community. All are maharajas and are wiser than God.Politicians have no interest[or may be the insight to grasp the problem or time],Intellectuals are snubbed and majority of general public does not understand the magnitude of this problem and thus net result is that there is a free killing field in every village and street with no body daring to question the mass murderers and morons.

Unless a movement[at the cost of many sacrifices] is undertaken, the murdereres will shamelessly undertake this henious act and will keep on walking chest high and will keep on putting the dignity of women to shame each day.

    Amazing !

I imagine that the figure of 538/1000 is an exaggerated one, never before such a figure was reported. But if it is true, it is really shameful and perhaps the lowest ratio anywhere in the world. Even the notorious districts of Punjab and Haryana in this regard have a female ratio between 750-800 per 1000 males. What has gone wrong to Baghpat?

Bhai Prashant Chaudhary (Bhagpat wale) : What about intercaste marriage? - I remember this thread of yours. Lagta hai ab to tujhe Baghapat mein koyi Jatni milegi nahin – koi aur jugaad soch le. hehehe !

it is true that this is occurring in the baghpat area. the ratios may be exaggerated but still the change is very obvious. i am from the baghpat area, gaon dhikoli, 7km southeast of baghpat. the number is thus far accurate and i have seen murders in my own village of girls for supposedly "ruining the family's izzat". false accusations such as these allow the family to force the girl to committ suicide or plain murder. the law isn't enforced and the police are bribed. this inevitably ties back to the corruption in the gov't because they don't do anything. this is murder of our daughters, sisters, bhabhis, and mothers. most of the time the people that are committing these acts are the family that are very deceptive themselves. i think the problem may also be related to the dowry system. the families that are poor can't afford to give a decent dowry, thus the result is emabarrassment of the family, and which often leads to death of someone. now, the ratio is so high of boys to girls, it is very common to see many men in families that are not married. these are capable jat men who are single (kuware, randwe) because they can't find wives. in my very own family, (mere tau ka ladka), he bought a wife from bihar because he couldn't find a wife. also he is very ugly and illiterate, but that's besides the point. in conclusion, this is something that must be addressed by and needs attention.

Shame for all of us who say themselves to be literate...

Wht the hell, we feel proud of. We feel proud of our Jat culture and at the same time we dont know wht our culture is. Is this our culture? Though Jats are flourishing but still we lag and if this grim situation continues to prevail, neither there will be the Jats nor the JAT culture...! We feel enthusiatic when we see that Jats are coming out with flying colors in every domain...But y we discriminate b/w Boy n a Gal.

Eventually, a Woman is the CREATOR.

Rather than feeling proud and boasting, do some ground work.

Amit ji..murders executed for ruining family's prestige do n't comply with girls foeticide.......In such cases both boys and girls are killed in equal proportion....... as far as boys and girls ratio in baghpat is concerned above mentioned 538/100 ratio is far from the truth..it's a conspiracy to tarnish our image.......do n't rely on these rumours...........
