Where is Govt., where are so called NGO's, where are our leaders ?
And Where is Mr. Ajit Singh ? and other so called saviors of our community. Busy making money and that too illegally ??
When it comes to votes and leadership we will find one after another claiming to be the real crusader and claim to lead the whole area alone.
How people can be so cruel and short sighted. How Govt. can even claim India is a developing country (Forget developed)
We need to wake up or we will be lost.
At 538/1000, west UP’s sex ratio touches the nadir at Baghpat
Express News Service
Lucknow, August 20: Western Uttar Pradesh may be flourishing, but the sex ratio in districts like Muzzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Bulandshahr is downright shocking.
With a sex ratio of 538/1000, Baghpat scrapes the bottom of the barrel. NGOs working on the issue of female foeticide in the districts say it is high time the district administration took some stern steps to stop the infanticide.

Today, around 12 NGOs from various parts of the state came together to discuss regional problems related to female foeticide and the role of the district administration.
The meet was part of the Sajha Manch initiative by Vatsalya, an NGO working on female foeticide from the last several years. The consensus was that the district administration needs to strictly enforce laws pertaining to female foeticide and sex-determination tests.
“The situation is really bad in Baghpat. There are several villages where you find just one girl. People prefer keeping their daughters indoors to save them from harassment,” said L K Dhama from Navchetna Sansthan, Baghpat. According to him, the problem has reached such an extent that people have started buying brides from Assam, Bihar and West Bengal. “We had heard of the bride-buying business in states like Haryana and Punjab, but now it is becoming popular in western UP too,” he said.
Dhama claimed that the administration was turning a blind eye to the situation. “If the NGOs know about it, then the administration must be knowing as well. We have rescued a number of such brides but the business continues to flourish,” he said.
Gaurav Gaur of Sankalp in Meerut said, “Recently, we rescued a girl hailing from Uttarakhand. At times the administration has helped us but so far, no stern action has been taken regarding the trafficking of girls,” said Gaur.
