    The History of the Nabha

The above chapter From book The Rajas of the Punjab by Lepel H. Griffin, has been Wikified on Jatland Wiki.

Read here- [Wiki]The Rajas of the Punjab by Lepel H. Griffin/The History of the Nabha State[/Wiki]

From this content on Jatland Wiki we have also expanded articles on each Jat Raja and compiled a list on [Wiki]Nabha[/Wiki]

Since the addition of info about each Jat Raja was a simultaneous work along with Wikification, there may be discontinuity in the sections of chapters on Rajas. It is requested that our historian editors go to these chapters and make them useful through editing.

Author of the book: Dr Ompal Singh Tugania

Publisher - Jaypal Agencies, Agra- 282007

    Price; Rs 35/-

Note - The book contains information about the Titles, Baunks, Gotras, Khaps of the Jat community and a Jat Gotras List (Jat Gotrawali). We have compiled these information on Jatland Wiki for our readers

Thanks for the efforts to bring forth literature on the community

to enlighten the readers about the lesser known heritage and history of the Jats.
History is best when created, better when re-constructed and worst when invented.

    Jat Villages' pages further Improved

Members frequently add Jat villages in the list of Jat Villages. Now we have identified most of these villages and created pages for each village and categorized. Still there are some villages in Red entry for which we are not sure about their tahsil and district. If members can do this it will be a good addition. Members are also requested to add Gotra and other information about newly created villages. Some villages have Jat or Jatt in the name itself so these are obviously Jat villages by its very definition. We need to add Gotra in these villages. When we add Gotra we can remove No Gotra category at its bottom. As on today we do have 1064 villages which need Gotra addition.

[wiki]The History of India, as Told by Its Own Historians[/wiki]

The History of India, as Told by Its Own Historians is a book comprising translations of medieval Persian chronicles based on the work of Henry Miers Elliot. It was originally published as a set of eight volumes between 1867-1877 in London. The translations were in part overseen by Elliot, whose efforts were then extended and edited posthumously by John Dowson.

It deals with Jats and its some of clans and Jat History.

Volume I: Introduction - This has been digitized and Wikified by me on Jatland. You may see it here - [wiki]The History of India, as Told by Its Own Historians[/wiki]

    Indian History Time Line

We have created a partial list of timeline of Indian history, comprising important legal and territorial changes and political events in India and its predecessor states. You can see it here -

    [wiki]Indian History Time Line[/wiki]

This list is useful for students of history and those reconstructing the history of Jats.

We may add important events to it from our Jat history. Members may suggest.
