The monster dad in Austria, who had impirsoned his daughter in a basement for 24 yrs and sexually abused her, shocked the world.But even more shocking was the fact that his wife, who lived upstairs in the same house, never noticed this. If for 24 yrs, a woman didn't see that her husband was upto some dubious activity in the same house, it's probably because she didn't want to confront him, discover awful and end up destroying her marriage.
many people play blind, deaf n dumb if they fear that bringing up an issue that's making them uncomfortable will have a disturbing effect on them.
but how many times do we come across people who have been flagrantly carrying on extra marital affairs and the spouse claims not to have noticed, till the affair threatens their marriage.
In this case girls mother will have to lead the rest of her life with the terrible consequencies of her complicity with her husband's heinous deeds. And she could have, if only she weren't such a coward to have prevented it.

Also a tenant, who lived in another portion of the house for many years and their grown up children who live separately with their own families never noticed any thing.

Really very unhuman act. Sala aise logo ke toh taath pair kaat dene chahiye... unke act se bhi jyata unhuman kro saalo ke saath. Jaan se naa maaro arabian countries ke type karo kutte ko.

I totally agree and respect ur feelings but the fact 'that everything reported in media is not true' should be give some consideration.
