Dear All,

I am starting this thread today for the benefit of our community members who would benefit from the information posted on this thread about vacancies across various industries/functional areas/specialisations/levels/locations. I especially invite all the HR professionals on this site to come forward and post the vacancies they come across from time to time in their organisations or those that they are aware of in other organisations. (The HR professionals are requested to come forward and form a functional group which would help in making this thread a success and achieve its desired objectives - you may please forward your contact details to me on the email id. below).

Even the non-HR professionals can post openings in their organisations or the ones they come across in newspapers/magazines. This way we would be able to reach a vast cross section of our community members who have access to the net but no access to info on the vacancies arising locally.

1. No. of posts: 174 (likely to be revised)
General: 71, SC: 20, ST: 15, OBC: 37, Ex-Servicemen: 24, Physically handicapped (ortho only): 07

2. Scale of pay: Rs. 4000- 6000 plus allowances as admissible under the rule

3. Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 01/01/08. Age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST, 3 years in cas of OBC and 10 years in case of Physically Handicapped (ortho only) candidates and in case of Ex-servicemen/serving government employees as per rules.

4. Educational Qualifications: a) 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board/university with English as a subject and should hav secured minimum pass marks in English.

5. Mode of selection: Selection shall be made on the basis of written test examination comprising of one paper in English language (Essay, Grammar and translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa). The candidates who are declared qualified in English language paper will be called to appear for shorthand and typing test @ 80/30 words per minute respectively in English. The shortlisted candidate would also undergo an interview (The candidates will have to arrange their own Type Writers for taking the test).
