Perhaps who is going through this discussion all will make out the following:
1) Many discrepancies are there in the current reservation system.
a) Like initially it was for 15 years and less percentage. It goes on increasing and that is not good logically or morally.
b) SC also provide judgement of 50% and now creamy layer is going to increase. If not even then the present system is unacceptable.
Now people here are divided in two parts ... One against Jat reservation and others in support of it.
Still both or most of them are in favour of change in the present system.
Both sides are saying that they will get it done. So now its the time to do something.
People in favour of Jat reservation in Haryana
Keep posting what efforts you are doing. Its action time. No need to discuss its pros cons now as it is not going to have any affect.
People in favour to change the present reservation/ against Jat reservation
Here some people who are opposing are putting stress on action and not mere discussions. So its high time for them.
Come on do something to eradicate the discrepancies in reservation system and keep posting here.
So better to put efforts and share with all fellow members.

Renu, first of all, my felicitations to you for putting forward very aptly and rightly the reasoning behind the need for reservation.
Reservation for Jats is the need of the hour. Jhoothi shaan mein reh kar kucch mutthi bhar log majority of community ko nuksaan pahuchaane kee koshish kar rahe hain. But as rightly said by Dudeeji, majority of the Jat population is pro-Jat reservation. Ek time tha jab Jaton ko baaki communities ne khub bewkoof banaya - Har cheez ke liye chane ke jhaad pe chadha dete the - 'Aap toh chaudhary ho, aap se toh bada koi hae hee nahi'. Yeh sunn ke Jat kee chhati chaudi ho jaati aur woh faltu kee foon faan mein rehta. Aur peeche se yahi doosri communities Jaato se naak chadhati aur unhe boora bhala kehti.
Its time we start living in the real world. Reservation is here to stay indefinitely. The sooner we realise it, the better it is for the community.
My only advice or suggestion to the anti-Jat reservationists is - Agar actual mein anti-reservationist ho aur kucch kar sakte ho toh wipe out reservation completely but before that give a time-frame by when you can wipe it out because Time will not wait for my community.
Dudeeji, all I can say at this moment is, Sir, I and I am sure most of the fellow Jatlanders and Jats to whom the welfare of the community is close to their hearts, agree with you unconditionally. We shall not rest till the time the Jat community gets its due..

The Haryana government has decided to reserve 50 per cent seats in the pre-engineering course for students of rural areas in the 11 engineering colleges in which this course has been introduced with an intake of 200 each for the academic session 2008-09.
Stating this here today, a spokesman for the technical education department said these seats would be reserved for students who had passed class X from rural schools.
The pre-engineering course would be affiliated to the Haryana School Education Board, Bhiwani, and the syllabus and course of study would be the same as prescribed by the board for class XI and class XII non-medical streams.
For the session 2008-09, admissions to only class XI would be made and examinations would be conducted at the institute level under the supervision of the department of technical education.

Saty, Topic of this thread is Do we Jat really need Reservation ?, Now u hve to say yes or not. we r not discussing on provision of reservation in India. Resrvation is already there and u know it cant be discontinue. So come the topic now, after having resrvation system in present condition (cast base), do u realy feel that it should not be extended to JAT community. Is condition of JATs batter than the other cast getting the reservation(Gujjars, Yadavs etc). again , are Jats of Haryana better than Jats from UP and Raj.
And the IIT admission statement , u hv given is totally baseless, u r not aware the telent being wasted in JAts. I am 100 % confident that if all courses at all IIT s are filled with JAts through the same JEE. No body will come out. That much of telent we have in our community. Do u think that the JAt boys / girls getting the admission, are only capable to do it. u see the waiting list in gen category how many Jats will be there and they all are far far telented the lot getting admission through resrvation. So pl dont argue just sake of argument. The telent in Jats is not getting its due and it is 100 % correct.

Those who r saying we dont need reservation either thay r not aware of the condition majority of jats living in or they r very successful in their life n think that all people can follow their footsteps. Accoding to me if we are discussing about reservation of our community then we must have idea about the whole community n not just well established jats.
As per my experience till now majority of us resides in villages and who are below average, didn't get the oppotunity to study and therefor may not guide their children for a better future. Until that person realises the importance of good education, time's gone. So we need help
So I agree for reservation.

This reservation thing is discussd under several threads n m against it.According 2 me dis reservation on d basis of caste system is totally unfair,nodoubt govt shud provide financial help 2 those who hav sum calibre n r unable 2 show dat due 2 financial problem or sumthing like dat.But wats dis ??due 2 dis reservation mostly in govt jobs n institutions nowadays dis startd in private n prestigious institutions like IIMs,d students who scord very less marks got admission bcoz they r under reservd category n d real intelligent stuff is left behind.This is totally unfair,dis reservation system on d basis of caste system shud b totally banned n yes if ppl of all castes start demanding 4 dis reservation then may b govt vll think of ne other option ,2 play its dirty politics.Its all politics nothing else.
