Thumbs up Couldn't find a single Jat BEGGING anywhere

    Hello friends,

My one brahmin friend, told me about the following incident which I wish to share
with you. It has had a deep impact on my thinking.

During last vacation, my few friends went to Chandigarh. They rented a taxi
for local sight-seeing. The driver was an old Haryanavi's jat and boys being
boys, these pals began cracking Jats jokes, just to tease the old man.

But to their surprise, the fellow remained unperturbed.

At the end of the sight-seeing, they paid the cab hire-charges. The
Haryanvi taxi driver Jat returned the change, but he gave each one of them one rupee
    extra and said,
    (in Hindi, of course),

*''Son, since morning you have been telling Jats jokes. I listened
to them all and let me tell you, some of them were in bad taste. Still,
I don't mind coz I know that you are young blood and are yet to see the
world. But I have one request. I am giving you one rupee each. Give it
to the first "JAT BEGGAR" that you come across in this or any other
    city.' *

My friend continued,* ' That one rupee coin is still with me. I
couldn't find a single JAT begging anywhere.'***

Friends, we all love jokes. But do you know that JATS are one
of the most hard working prosperous and diversified communities in the
world. The secret behind their universal success, is their willingness
to do any job with utmost dedication and pride.

Isn't this very thought provoking ???

India and Israel (Hindus & Jews) are true friends in this World. Both are Long Live and yes also both have survived and surviving under adverse conditions.

    Thumbs down

This paragraph was originally written for Sikhs and not for jats. The praise that has been written for jats is actually more applicable for Sikhs

Jats are usually very ashamed of doing 90% of the jobs
The way sikhs stand united and jat stand devided. We jats need to learn. False egos will not help

i wish this could apply to my community but wishing doesnt help. hard work in this direction can help.

I dont think we are less divided than the sikhs.
U cant generalise people saying that one type of caste works hard and the other does not. U get lazy people and people who want to work simple as that.
I appreciate my jat bhai in his effort to inspire us with his story, even if it was written for punjabis.
Lets carry on being positive individuals, work hard and to continue to build the Jat community spirit!

Good one ... but m not sure abt the incident happened with Jat driver. As Navin said, i also heard same story abt sikhs and yeah i hv never seen a sikh begger.

Abt Jats ... m not much sure who are they but i saw few ppl in grps/old lady on bus/railway stations asking for help(begging) saying she has to go there(some XYZ name) n so n had lost her all luggage and money. She says shez running short of 10 rs only. Sometimes they ask for few hundreds also n promise to return back once reach home. They speak haryanavi. I am not sure whether they are Jats or not but i believe jats cant do such shameful act. They are other lower castes who know haryanavi and spoil Jats name as well. Ppl consider them jats only coz they speak haryanavi.

And yeah, these lines written above are in Sikh's context actually, but i believe same is the case with Jats. Indeeddddddddd we are hard working and passionate. But again we are not smart worker(in general, don come up with exceptions).

But at the same time i am agreed with Mr. Gulias few points like
"Jats are usually very ashamed of doing 90% of the jobs
The way sikhs stand united and jat stand devided. We jats need to learn. False egos will not help"
