    Unhappy Game(s) over!!

Well, no Phelps no Bolt...this Referee (and a few others) would certainly have some other name to mention.

Angel Matos is a 'former' Cuban taekwondo athlete. He received a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He was banned for life after kicking a referee at Beijing'2008.

Leading 3-2 in the men's +80-kg bronze-medal bout against Kazakhstan's Arman Chilmanov, Matos slumped to the floor rubbing his leg and was disqualified for exceeding a minute's injury time, prompting the Cuban's coach to rush onto the mat. After a heated exchange, Matos struck the referee in the head with a high kick. He also kicked another official before being escorted out of the arena. A tournament official announced the life ban for Matos and his coach over a loudspeaker a few minutes later. "It was an insult to the Olympic vision, to the spirit of taekwondo and for me, an insult to mankind," said Jin Suk Yang, general secretary of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF)

Baki ghane ee gamman mein stadium to banae sein ... let us see how about the facilities there .... if they would also be enough then it will really be nice on the govts part and much appreciable.

Manne to Kiloi mein dekhya hai ... Basketball ki academy ne gaam ke ghane ee ghar roshan kar diye ... kae national khelle er aachi jobs mein hein .... so the stadiums in villages can bring really something good.

Rohtak Bus Stand ke peechey bhi kafi bada sports complex ban raha hai .... if it completes and with good facilities .... then it will also be a great achievement for this govt.

Also in some other thread one day shayad deepak dhankar kahe tha ek badminton khelya karta er koe coach nahi tha .... to je issi baat bani ek ye stadium bana ke facilities mein kasar rahe gi to ya investment kisse kaam ki na.

    Let us see.

    Why We Lose

Suresh Kalmadi is one good reason.

According to today's Times of India, The Indian Olympics Association President, who had nothing to do with Abhinav Bindra's, Vijender Kumar's and Sushil's Kumar's medals, and who will, no doubt, best remember this year's Olympics for his tour of China, tried to position his posterior on a seat reserved for medalist Sushil Kumar at a felicitation ceremony for the sporststar at Rashtrapati Bhawan yesterday.

When Kalmadi was told to scram, he 'left in a huff.' (To steal Vijender Kumar's seat?)

Kalmadi found other ways to show the sportsmen his appreciation; to prove to them that they were valued by their country, and that their lifetime of sweat and blood had, in fact, been worth it.

For the felicitation ceremony, he had them booked at a two star hotel in Delhi (apparently changed to a four star, when the media got wind of it). And while he and his buddies flew to China and back on business class, our medallists and all our other hard working and dedicated sportsmen and women were shoved into economy. Questioned about this, one of the officials said 'there were no seats available (in business). When we offered (Sushil and Vijender) our seats, they refused.'

Because they have class enough for all of you?
