भारत का प्रथम स्वतन्त्रता युद्ध

सं० १९१४ वि० (1857 ई०) में भारतीयों ने अंग्रेजी राज्य को भारत से उखाड फेंकने के लिए प्रथम यत्न किया । सैनिक विद्रोह भी हुआ । जनता ने पूरी शक्ति लगाई । यह यत्न यद्यपि सफल न हो सका परन्तु इससे अंग्रेजों की मनोवृत्ति अवश्य बदली ।


विरोधी


अंग्रेजी राज्य के विरोधी और विरोध के कारण नीचे लिखे जाते हैं ।

1. अंग्रेजों का प्रथम विरोधी हरयाणा सर्वखाप पंचायत का संगठन था क्योंकि -

क - अंग्रेजों ने गरीब किसानों पर अत्याचार किये । अन्न बलपूर्वक लेते थे । किसानों और गरीबों से बेगार लेते थे । कारीगरों की देशी चीजों को बाहर नहीं जाने देते थे । छोटे मोटे व्यापार धन्धे नष्ट कर डाले ।

ख - अदालतें बनाकर पंचायतों के संगठन और शक्ति को नष्ट कर डाला । लोगों के आपसी झगड़े अदालतों में जाने लगे । गरीबों की लुटाई होने लगी । झूठ, मक्कारी, बेईमानी और रिश्वत फैलाई जाने लगी । लोग तंग हो गये ।

ग - किसानों पर साहूकारों के अत्याचार बढ़ने लगे ।

घ - अंग्रेजी माल जबरदस्ती बेचा जाने लगा ।

ङ - अच्छे-अच्छे आचार वाले कुलों को दबाया जाने लगा ।

च - पंचायती नेताओं का अपमान किया जाने लगा ।

इन कारणों से सर्वखाप पंचायत ने सबसे पहले अंग्रेजों के विरोध में झंडा ऊँचा किया । हरयाणा सर्वखाप पंचायत के दो भाग किये । जमना आर और पार । पंचायत ने दोनों ओर देहली को केन्द्र मानकर मेरठ, मुजफ्फरनगर, सहारनपुर, बुलन्दशहर, बहादुरगढ़, रेवाड़ी, रोहतक और पानीपत में अंग्रेजी सत्ता को उखाड़ फेंका जिसके कारण भारी कष्ट सहन किये । जनता कोल्हू में पेली गई । जायदाद छीन ली गई । खेद है कि यह जायदाद अब तक नहीं लौटाई गई है ।

2. दूसरा विरोधी दल मराठों का था क्योंकि मराठों का राज्य छिन गया था ।

3. तीसरा दल उन मुसलमानों का था जिनको कि अंग्रेजों ने अपमानित किया था और जागीरें हड़प ली थीं । नवाबों को कंगाल बना दिया था ।

4. यह दल पंडे-पुजारियों और मुल्ला-मौलवियों का था क्योंकि इनके पास धर्म और मजहब के नाम पर जो जायदाद थी, वह छीनी गई ।

5. अनेक जागीरदारों की भूमि छीन ली गई और दूसरों को दे दी गई ।

6. पुराने कर्मचारी नौकरी से निकाल दिए गये थे ।

7. जनता के साथ की गई प्रतिज्ञाओं को तोड़ दिया गया और अंग्रेजों के वचन से विश्वास उठ गया ।

8. ईसाई धर्म का प्रचार राज्य के बल पर किया जाने लगा था । इंग्लैंड की पार्लियामेंट में ऐसा करने का भाषण दिया गया था ।

9. पण्डारी दल के मार्ग में बाधा डाली गई ।

10. बड़े-बड़े राजनैतिक दल समाप्त किये जा रहे थे ।

11. भारतीय सेना में नये कारतूस दिए गए जो कि दांत लगाकर काटने पड़ते थे । इससे हिन्दू और मुसलमान सैनिकों में असन्तोष बढ़ा ।

इसी प्रकार भिन्न-भिन्न कारणों से भारतीय जनता, राजा, नवाब और अन्य दलों में असन्तोष हुआ ।


बहादुरशाह का पत्र


देहली के बहादुरशाह बादशाह ने ऐसे समय सर्वखाप पंचायत के प्रधान को एक पत्र लिखा जिसका आशय यह है -

"सर्वखाप पंचायत के नेताओ ! अपने पहलवानों को लेकर फिरंगी को निकालो । आप में शक्ति है । जनता आपके साथ है । आपके पास योग्य वीर और नेता हैं । शाही कुल में नौजवान लड़के हैं परन्तु इन्होंने कभी युद्ध में बारूद का धुआँ नहीं देखा । आपके जवानों ने अंग्रेजी सेना की शक्ति की कई बार जाँच की है । आजकल यह राजनैतिक बात है के नेता राजघराने का हो । परन्तु राजा और नवाब गिर चुके हैं । इन्होंने अंग्रेजों की गुलामी स्वीकार कर ली है । आप पर देश को अभिमान और भरोसा है । आप आगे बढ़ें । फिरंगी को देश से निकालें । निकलने पर एक दरबार किया जाये और राजपाट स्वयं पंचायत संभाले । मुझे कुछ उजर नहीं होगा ।"

इस पत्र को पाकर पंचायत ने अपने शक्ति का संग्रह करना आरम्भ किया और अन्य शक्तियों से सम्पर्क बढ़ाया ।

हरद्वार में नाना साहब और अजीमुल्ला पंचायत नेताओं से मिले ।


नेता


आन्दोलन के मुख्य नेता यह थे - नाना साहब, तांत्या टोपे, झाँसी की रानी, कुंवरसिंह, अजीमुल्ला, बख्त खाँ पठान आदि । पंचायतों के दो नेता चुने गये - नाहरसिंह सूबेदार और हरनामसिंह जमादार ।


परिणाम


जो कुछ परिणाम हुआ, आपको ज्ञात है । आन्दोलन सफल न हो सका ।


विफलता के कारण

यद्यपि सब पेशों और सम्प्रदायों के लोग आन्दोलन में थे । परन्तु शीघ्रता करने से शक्ति संग्रह न हो सका । अंग्रेजों ने फाड़ने की नीति से काम लिया और उनकी सेना नए शस्त्रों से सुसज्जित थी । राजा और नवाबों की शक्ति अलग रही । मराठों में आपसी झगड़े थे । यह कारण सबको ज्ञात है । हमने उन बातों पर ही प्रकाश डाला है जो कि इतिहास के पत्रों पर नहीं लिखी गई ।

plz give them in an authenticated way. kabul is nothing but quabul only. malkhan is common name in jats. n hence khan never really was the title of muslims. jats have to be seperated from religion, from caste, from sect, from every thing its just like a blood brother a small child who does not know n e thing but if provoked knows all the things..

how can the pensioners marathas, like rani jhansi, tope, nana sahib, etc. get the credit in history? it was long back that one syam ji krisn verma, the maratha gave it the title of "pratham swadhinta sangram" his ashes were recently received by guj cm. but where are the ashes of nahar singh? where r the ashes of bhagat singh? have u ever worked upon that?

the great chitrakarji, I'm not as much interested in Kabool Singh as I'm in U. Plz carry out this spirit. wherever u are. ur theories were independent minded, ...jat needs a place for himself..today ...n ... that place is better said by indra vesh instead of bappa shyam rao...

indra vidya vachaspati was son of swami shradhanand...has written a lot about bharatpur jats...

but never explained the jats as sircar jadunath has done...as quanungo has done...


to understand jat we have to go deeper in history. their fortunes rose so high in such a short time that to understand the modern jat we have to peep deep inside the history.

ve dharam ki bail gadi se utar kar kranti ke rath par baith gaye. its said about bhagat by virender sindhu. us ne to deswalji bal bhi katwa liye. vo jo punjab me flat hat ki khilaf andolan chala tha bhagat ke bare me, where jutt demanded his charpayee wala photo where bhagat is siting as sirdar..but flat hat wala photo of bhagat is reflected in all indian govts photos...

this surajmal society is never to be pardoned for not calling sikh jat mps....it just has never come across the sentiments of chhoturam....

i heard that arya samaj published a book on bismil. the kakori kand, chandra shekhar etc. at allahabad... but arya samaj never published a book on bhagat... y? because he was communist?

they may or may not be true. but jat existed b4 that this is true. never be carried away with the personality of others like swami... who mentioned jat just once only in satyrath prakash....

first virjananda himself was dependent on thenua jat of mursan, mathura...
