Jat Bachchon k "Desi" Khel !!

Dear Jatlanders,

When we were kids, used to play lots of games in villages. Bahut se aise khel they jo ki sirf gaon mein hi khele jaatey they. Kaafi aise they jo sirf ladkiyan hi khelti thee..Kuchh sirf ladkey hi kheltey they ! Yeh games aajkal kamm ho gaye hain kyunki internet aur mobile games gaon tak panhunch rahe hain...

Here, I am talking about only desi games and not Hocky-khokho-cricket etc. We can discuss all those games here and then add about these games in wiki once we have sufficient stuff based on inputs from worthy members. This will ensure that our coming generations remember these games..

Let me start with first and favourite one of mine: Kancha-Goli (Playing Marbles)

Kancha goli generally 8 se 15-16 saal tak ki umar k ladkey kheltey they. Ladkiyan iss khel ko nahi khelti... Iss game mein khiladi pehle equal contribution kartey hain marbles ka...aur fir ek "gooch" / "peellu" banayi jaati hai...gooch is kind of small hole on plain earth ( gooch is somewhat like a target in "golf"). Then all participants throw these marbles from a distance of around 2-3 meters and try to put maximum marbles in "Peelu". Once all marbles are thrown, one of the few which do not reach the "Peellu" are targetted for hitting by "Antta". "Antta" is nothing but a bigger marble and can be called as "striker" as in case of "Carrom" :-)
If the target marble is hit, all the contributed marbles are won by the player. If Antta enters the Peellu, player has to give penalty in the form of contribution of one more marble!

manne bhi ek game yaad aa gaya jo mere goun mein khela jata tha jab mein chhota tha.. dnt know abt these days...

Name of the game : Rasadi (as it is based on rassi)
1. is game ke liye ek rassi chahiye kareeb 10-15 feet lambi..
2. rassi ke ek seere par lakdi baandh kar us lakdi ko jameen mein gaad diya jata hai..
so that it works like a khoonta (jameen mein gaad dene se koi bhi player chotil
nahin hoga lakdi ki vajah se)
3. ab jis player ki bari aati hai (letz call him player 'A') wo rassi ko pakadta hai and
now he can move upto the circle created by rassi.
4. baaki saare players apne joote chappal center(jahan rassi bandhi huyi hai) mein
rakh dete hain.
5. now player A has to protect all chappals aur baki players ko Player A se bachte
huye chapple churane hain.. if player A touches any player in the process then
that player will become player A.
6. agar sari chapple chori ho jati hain to player A has to run to a target (jo 30-40
kadam door hota hai) aur jab wo bhagta hai, baki sab player usko chapplon se
maarte hain until he reaches the target.

Then it may be more popular in Rajasthan i too played in my village Phephana in Hanumangarh Distt. I can still see kids playing this game in village.

3 game hoyaa kartaa chana-jott... it means odd-even... haath me kanche le lete arr ferr ek donu haathaa me mix karke .. ek moothi aage karte arr saami aalaa batataa.. ak chana sai ak jott... arr aapni BET lagataa.. if he was right one u lost have to give amount he BETTED.. in form of kanchaa only...
4... Game hoyaa chakri.... jisme ek golaa bana liyaa karte arr saare kanche usme fenkte... ferr ekk kanchaaa batayaa jaantaa jispe nissaanaa laanaa muskill hoyaa kartaa... te ferr donu kanche(jispe nissaanaa bataya..arr jiste maaryaa karte) uss goldhaare te bahar hone chahiye... agar bahar ho jaate te vo saare jeet lentaa naa te jurmana bhartaa...

aur bhi honte honge game isme... manne te ye ee khele the...

arr kanchyaa te miltaa jultaa ek aur khel hoyaa kartaa... maniyaa ka... diwali se pehle ghana khelyaa jaya kartaa... kyonki diwali pe unn maniyaa ki malaa bana ke aapne daangraa(meihens yaa gaa ) ke baandhyaa karte... maniyaa me 2 ee khel hoyaa karte... khadi-chot yaa chana-jott....jisne khele honge uske yaad aa jaange...

arr kisse ne ibbe batii-dandaa(geeli-danda) naa likhyaa...

Kaag-danda............ jo pedd(tree) ke uppar khelyaa jayta kartaa.. saare neeche khade ho jaante... ferr ek janaa kaaayiii dentaa .. jo dandaa thodaa saa door fenkaa jata arr itne uss ne thaa ke laave itne baaki saare pedd pe chadd lente... ferr usne kisse ke bhi haath laa ke sabte pehlyaa vo danda thanaa hoyaa kartaa..........

aur bhi ghane ee beraa sain.. per saare me ee likh doongaa te baaki ke karenge... .. arr uppar jo ek bhai jikraa karyaa sai..jute-chaplaa kaa usne mhare kehnyaa khosdyaa-khelna kahaa karte....

this is a great start......bhaio balakpan ke din yaad dilwa diye... kai baar to un dino ko yaad karke sochte hai....kitne great din the wo bhi....we also used to play all the games u mention here ......

ek game tha gutta gad-di is game ko 5-6 se jyada balak khelya karte .....is me sare apne apne circle bana lete the.... aur ek balak me phota ''spose A'' (his turn to throw the ball)hoya karta vo gindi(ball made by wear&tear cloths)ne phenkya karta..... ar sare balak apne gutta(the circle)ne secure rakhte the...gindi ne sare balak mar mar ke pahlyan dur chod ke aya karte .....pher A uss gindi ne tha ke lyata ar sare participents ki taraf phenkta ....jis balak ke gindi touch ho jati uski turn a jati phota dene ki ......yo bahut intersting game hoya karta .....kai ghabru to beech me e game chod k bhaj jaya karte.....

Ek khel hotya karta kaa danka sayad naam tha.

Ek chora ek ghere mein khada ho ke ek danda bagaya karta tang talle ke

jiski KAIN ho wo bhaj ke usne than jata ar baaki ped pe chad jaate.wo aata dande ne ghere mein rakhta.
Usne fer unme tein ek pakadna hota. Je usne pakad liya to agle ki KAIN ar je kise ne ped pe tein kood ke danda tha ke taang talle ke chum liya to usne fer wohe procedure dohrana padta.
