Dear friends,
US based company defaming lord Ganesha, fixing image on beer bottles since long as learned through their websites. I took this matter with the Ambassador of US in Delhi and his counter part in US, lodged complaint with Police, online complaint then approach permanent mission for US in New York, yesterday introduce online petition, preparing for PIL-OPEN LETTER FOR ALL M.P's AND MLA's -http://www.indymedia.org/en/2009/06/926117.shtml

In India cows are beaten daily, worked like donkeys to death, people use every deity's name while doing abominable acts, why worry about some company merely using image of Lord Ganesh on beer bottles? Is it because it is a foreign company? look at the the bright side, it is free publicity for our religion. Cheers.

Dear Aman and Siddharth, can you comment on why govt of India banned Satenic Verses and the cartoon depicting Muhammad...... I think same rationale should also apply here, It is not the question of free publicity or providing ladoo for mouse, it is the question of religious sentiments of Hindus, we may not care for cause but should support the person who is doing it for all Hindus.....

Banning Satanic verses was wrong and this is also idiotic. Two wrongs donot make right.
When will people grow up?
There are other ways of protesting Hiduism for people who care.... you can begin with taking the cows off the street where they garbage and $hit .. putting them in some shelter .... there are other things also ...

Brazil has been marketing lot of Indian stuff to the US. They also sell Henna and other such typical Indian products with Indian names and mythological figures.. but they are made somewhere in Sao Paolo.

Don't quite see how this is offensive.
Take a look around India itself....we put these images on everything.
I think taking offense is the real offense in India. Hindu dharam derives
its strength by not being offended.
