Sugar Cane Pricing Issue, Your views ! ..

Hi All,


Its quite strange n' disappointing to see that nobody is paying heeds to recent Sugar Cane Pricing Policy amendment n' afterwards rollback issue here on Jatland.

Looks like we are busy with leg pulling and having fun in worthless gossip n' all that, I feel this is very much important issue related to our Farmer brothers .. :rolleyes:

Latest update on the very issue is Government has decided to bring forward a bill that will shift the burden of certain payments to farmers on sugarcane purchase from state governments to mills.

Govt move on sugarcane deadlock, opposition satisfied --

JIt you have started a nice topic.....It should be discussed in positive sense
Coming to topic, Since long time, farmers are protesting against sugarcane prices offered by the government. One side it looks nice that finally government is paying attention to the issue.
But if we look closely government is taking step after opposition created a huge drama on the 1st day of winter session in the assembly. It looks, even opposition doesn't look that much serious. They want to utilize this as political issue. If BJP would have been serious they should support the farmers earlier and they should discuss with positively inside assembly rather than creating drama. It looks like both wants to gain cheap publicity. Real tragedy of our Indian political system.

Still whatever is the reality, government is finally taking steps...That's truth.Lets hope it will bring justice to poor farmers....This policy will not remain only on paper like many other policies of government.......

the way opposition has supproted farmers it is interesting par piche ka khel to vote ka hi hai. yakeen nahi hota jaha itne sare log farmers ke hith ke baat karte ho waha hazaro farmers suicide kaise kar sakte hai.sab golmaal hai.sarkar nai dhyaan diya kuiki kisan sarkar ke sarr par chad ke bhett gaye sari delhi choke kar di.

In UP private sugar mills are ready to pay rs 25 above the price set by government and it is quite higher to price tht was studied by expert group which gave report on price of sugarcane.If farmers will get the price wht they are demanding the price of sugar will never come down from 35 kgs as raw material willl be costly.


last year when sugar was around rs 17 -18 per kg then sugarcane price was 140 now farmers are saying to double cane price in ratio with market price of sugar.though it seems to be logical but not in interest of the commmon people so government is in a fix .lets see wht happens.

Ajit s epoocha aap yeh agitaion bade kisano ko faayda pahucnhane ke liye kar rahe ho .. Ajit en jawaab diya - bhai tum kaunsi dunya main ho rehte ho 50% s ejyaada kisano ke paas muhksils e 4 hectra jameen hai..

jawaab sunne ke baad rajdeep ke face dekhan layak tha...

vais toh kabhi kabhi lagta hai shivsena ke workers ne theke hi kiyaa yeh aajkal ka english media sachayee se koson door rehta hai..

there is nobody taking care of framers

1. our agriculture minister is playing in hands of powerful maharashtra sugar lobby.He seems to be agent of those lobby
2. I am deeply disappointed that government has no time for farmers SUCH THAT ORDINANACE IS PASSED WITHOUT ANY DISSCUSSION IN LOK SABHA.
3. all political parties do not give any time to agitating farmers four more than 4 months but when lok sabha begins they show there sampthy towards farmers
4. soniya ji , manmohanji, bjp, samajwadi party has time to meet tatas ,ambanis,gadrejs,adanis but not farmers

Sugarcane Prices should be strictly based on Demand and Supply. Thats the only way to determine the best price for any commodity that is in the best interest of both procuders and consumers. If the Market price is higher than the current price set by the government, Sugarcane producers will produce more sugarcane and vice-versa.

Trust me, Government does not have a magiv mirror in its pocket that tell it whats the best price for any commodity. They are just pulling out prices out of their behinds.

Chautala saab was first among to ask for present plight of sugarcane....see his press conference on Haryana News Channel...

Even before this big agitation in delhi.
Becoz haryana has just& mere 10 loksabha seats including Ambala , faridabad ,& Gurgaon...

His strength in centre is not great, so he is been restricted by this numeric figure of 10.

Dont malign anyone if not aware , specially guys who are outsiders...

Dheeraj i think its not matter of seats even Ajit Singh have only 4 seats in loksabha and only around 10 in state assembly he is also not a part of government.Even if you dont have any seats anywhere it does not restrict you to raise your voice in india.

It was not directed towards only choutala saab.It was for all neta jis seating in luyten`s delhi particularly.

This is a fact once people get in power they tend to forget issues for what they stood. agar aisa na hota to India abb tak G-8 ka member ho gaya hota.This trend is pan India irrespective of the state boundries.

Ek baar GOVT ka CONTROL khatam ho gya to FARMERS
poor nahin rehenge.

When Land starts producing in-line with Mehnat , then no need to sell farm lands.

No one will acquire one's lands , as koi chodne ko taiyaar nahin hoga dharti ...kisi bhi rate par!

No need will be there to ask for reservation or special status , paisa hoga to mann laga_ke paddega....

Jib do waqt ki roti ka na bera to padai kyukar kare?

Now a days Govt procure almost all produce at very very less rate than MARKET
(set as per committee 50 years back, with 1-10 rupees increase every year/2 years gap)
Afterwards left to get spoiled in godowns of food corporationsFCI!
Half-of-officers in FCIs run hotels!

Isse achha to freehold kar do....more movement...more generation of business would be in picture.
