Sirohi sir, It's true that problem is there, but Punjab is being the worst as compared to Haryana ( See the statics released by UNICEF ).Now statics for Haryana are in reverse gear as result of some encouragement policies started for Girls by Haryana govt. & paradigm shift by young married couples.Moreover Haryana comes after Maharastra, Gujarat, HP etc.

And I am not defending Haryana , but issue should be raised as social responsibility not for money making.Television is mirror of society , so it should reflect the things in positive way.

if this serials indicates Haryana perhaps it is supposed to be due to the language used by one of the main character but that language is an integral Part of Delhi Western UP and of course some part of Rajasthan
if it is indicating JATS need to clarify other things like ruling of that lady on all others and teaching some good lession to the SDM and so on

So just take the positive rest of the things will be settled once we wont highlight it neither it will be a hit and we ..............

vinay bhai ya baat to mai bhi maanu hu ki ladka paida hon pa jyada khushi manayi ja hai....par bhai ya baat galat hai ki ladki hon pa maatam manaya ja hai........aisa 10-15 saal pahle hota tha.........ab sab kuch badal gaya hai......
ladkiyan ne bhi sab english medium school ma bhejan hai padan khatar.......
harayana ke jitne bhi engineering college ya medical college sab ma kam te kam 20% ladkiyan hai.....
or agar school ki baat karen to kam te kam 30% ladkiyan hai.....

I watched CM Hooda on haryana News yesterday. He was addressing some college girls in Rohtak. One thing which I liked in his speech was that he told girl to be strong against Female Foeticide. Also he told that clearly that even ladies as as much responsible as the men are. If wife is strong enough to put her foot down for this and say NO to foeticide, it can not happen.

I have not watched this serial till now. But the thirst of boy child is still prevailing in our society though may be little less than earlier. It is there in all the castes of this area, Jats are also not spared.

I was in PGI rohtak day before yesterday and one Jat family from Baggad is forcing to carry on with pregnancy just because it is a boy child inside. Though 3 of the doctors have suggested abortion because of some deformity in the child. Its now 6th month and they bring her to medical. Medical docs did some tests and dont know if they want to experiment. They said there are chances but its marginal. God knows whats the truth. The 25 year old girl and 38 year old man are ready to abort but their parents are so much adamant that they also kept mum now.

So its clear that the sex determination is still very much easily available and so is the thirst of male child.

Though I havent heard of killing a girl child after birth in Jats. Neither it was earlier. Thakkar/Rajput to afem ka anta deke marte sune hein. Haan as Sunita pointed there were discrimination between upbringing of male and female child earlier.

Ohh..Gawd..n the word shameful doesnt even begin to decribe!
probably they dont wot its to give birth to a child with deformity..jeez they are criminals and heartless of highest order..its life-long agony
thanks heavens, here it doesnt matter..n they can get sex-determinig kits over the counter from chemists,,but its just curiosty and to plan accordingly later..or maybe to think of naming their kids lolz..all the pray is the child is born normal n healthy...boy or girl
