    This book by H E Keene, makes quite interesting reading and has a fair amount of history and culture of the Jats thrown in.

    Enjoy

    Respected Ravi Ji,
    May I add here two more set of volumes for the benefit of those who are serious to study the Fall of the Mughal Empire and to see the Contribution of the Jats in making it speedily fall; the books are:
    William Irvine, The Later Mughals in Two Volumes;
    JN Sarkar, Fall of the Mughal Empire, IV Volumes.

    These books may be equally quoted as good as or in some respect better than Dr. KR Qanungo's path breaking history of the Jats because after 1925 Qanungo,s treatise remained static but the above quoted two books have been revised and re-revised several times by Dr. J N Sarkar, the doyen of contemporary historians. The researchers can take cue from these two books as to the methodology applied for rigrous research by the authors to arrive at conclusions. Regards,
    Dr. Raj Pal Singh
