Good to know information! Jat, Rajput, Maratha, and Mughals have the kingdom history to pass-on. Thanks again! It is into our genes but not in nature to make us feel like that. We are not down trodden, rather "truely Down to Earth".

I am not sure how relevant that would be for ancient jat history but surely it is related with jat tribe.

We shall research more in migration than origin.

    Bagpat in Mahabharata

Bagpat was one of five villages demanded by Pandavas. Mahabharata tells that When Pandavas were defeated in chausar they were forced to leave the state for 13 years. During most of this time, they lived at place called Varanavata (modern Bairat) in Jaipur district in Rajasthan. Having lived there for pretty long time, the Pandawas sent a message to the Kauravas that they won't lay their claim to the throne if they were given just five villages. These 5 villages were :

    1. Indraprastha (इन्द्रप्रस्थ) (Purana Qila) - Delhi
    2. Panaprastha (पणप्रस्थ) (Panipat) - Haryana
    3. Sonaprastha (सोणप्रस्थ) (Sonipat) - Haryana
    4. Tilaprastha (तिलप्रस्थ) (Tilpat) - Haryana
    5. Vyaghraprastha (व्याग्रप्रस्थ) (Bagpat) - Uttar Pradesh

If you study the population of people who lived in all these areas mentioned in Mahabharata it is found to be the homeland of Jats.

Quoting lines from Udyoga parva of Mahabharata...

In this chapter of the Udyoga Parva of the Mahabharata, Yudhishthira sends an offer of peace to Duryodhana, and in the course of doing so he names the five villages:
We are desirous of peace; give us even a single province of the empire. Give us even Kusasthala, Vrikasthala, Makandi, Varanavata, and for the fifth any other that thou likest. Even this will end the quarrel. O Suyodhana, give unto thy five brothers at least five villages,--O Sanjaya, O thou of great wisdom, let there be peace between us and our cousins.

More important is there present locations ...

We have with us a very twisted and one sided version of real fight that occurred on a massive scale in ancient times .To understand that we have to read not only Indian but other contemporary foreign sources as well.

Pandavas doesn't demand mere villages ...But they asked five provinces of vast empire of KURU kINGDOM .
I know for certain only two and can guess about two other.
    Kusasathal was province of Xinjiang
Virkasathla was southeast of caspian sea
makandi may or may not refer to Belochistan and Sistan
and Varnvarta some land at the foothill of great mountains.

    Regards

PS Kusasathala virkasathala and Makandi all were Jat inhabited lands since ancient times

THANKYOU Sir! I feel like boasting now . Finally, I am free to believe that we are proud to be Jats, rich Jats throughout history. People always showed me attitude of ancestral property. This information shared above would make me feel firm.
